Thread: Oppressive texturing that makes colors not take well

I suspect we'll be cutting the list down to a few really really bothersome items, or we won't get anything at all. As for the thin striped pants... because we have 3 stripey pant variations, I don't think the colorization on that one pair necessarily is a showstopper. On the other hand... the suit jacket! Grrrr.
I have to agree about the thin striped pants. I think its part of our job to know that it won't work in white and to explain this to customers and suggest alternatives if they ask for it in white. The one that I would like to see changed is the soft undershirt. A lot of people want a long sleeved, very plain shirt and this one can't be made in white. They should fix the suit jacket too!

Did they fix them? I will make another one in white when I get home.Several months agoI was having trouble with white soft undershirts looking gray compared to a lot of other clothes like striped slacks. Maybe it was just a bug with me, though. The game has been know to pick on me before.
Anyway, I remember that someone wanted a white outfit and it didn't work, so I never made them in white again. The other one that gave me lots of trouble was the sidebutton shirt.

One takes color really well, the other doesn't (at work now so i don't remember which
* Bands (rings). They seem to have a base of icky green color. It's not possible to get a nice gold color, but whether this is texture issue i dunno.
The striped pants I can live with. I do not like that the muscle shirts look dirty when white. The decorative dress bottom needs some serious help. I can live with some of the leather palettes being slightly darker because of texture, but I would REALLY love an all white low cut top. Noble skirt needs some help with sides. I dont' make it a lot because of that. I would really love to see the wookiee wear be able to match! Get rid of the green tinge.. its too strong. I don't mind some of the color differences because I realize itsdifferent textures.
(what i would really like is to be able to go from a low cut top to a formfitting top without looking like i've just inflated my b**b's lol ![]()
why do all full coverage shirts and dresses make women look like they have60 year old giganto saggy b**b's??
...sorry i know this thread is about texture lol but this is a *huge* pet pieve to me lol)

I just checked and it still seems to be a problem for me. To see what I am talking about, make some striped slacks in white (since these are pretty close to really being white) and a soft undershirt in white. The undershirt is several shades darker than the pants. You get the same problem with the sidebuttoned shirt. Both of these are grayer than a muscle shirt in white (which looks pretty dingy). The muscle shirt actually matches pretty well with a white fashionably pleated skirt (although I don't think they look good together).
You almost always have to use a dark color from one pallete otherwise it looks washed out.
I just want the suit jacket to look much nicer when using lighter colors. Right now you cannot even match the suit jacket to pants if you're going for a lighter shade (tan, white, light blue).
Wookiee Sages Hood: This is a very nice item for wookiees, but again it's ruined because the white doesn't come out white and the lighter colors do not come out at all on the leathery part. I suggest making the sages the same as the apron on the doctors dress, which takes lighter colors just fine.
Wookiee Sigiled Waist Wrap: I think the base color pallette should be swapped with the middle color pallette, so we get the full color pallette for the main part of the skirt and the limited color pallettee on the leather part of the skirt.
thanks

As for the Soft undershirtI did the test you mentioned Gyopi and I do notice a minor difference in color when standing in a poorly lit room, butdonot consider it to be enough of a reasonto really start a campaign to lighten the texture. You need to take in to mind that those two items are made to look like they are made of different material types.
I can agree with this and I probably wouldn't want to take a lot of effort to make it lighter. There are a lot more important things which should be fixed. The time I noticed this what back when there was a fad with TKAs of wearing a decorative vest, modest skirt, soft undershirt, sunguard and sandles. I had several people order this in white, but they were unhappy with it because the white from the decorative vest does not match the soft undershirt very well. I remember all the complaints pretty well. It is definitely just because they are made of different materials, but it is hard to explain that to customers.
