Hmmm...

looks like i might have just rekindled the war???

I'm a bit torn though.

on the Rangers vs. Tailor battlefront, i'm on both sides. i have a tailor character, and a Ranger character.

but on the Cammo vs. Hotpants battlefront, i'm for anyone who opposes the skimpy speedos...

I usually go for the Lokian bark myself. it's a bit dry, but that's no problem.

Usually take some Lokian bark, and then forage around for some assorted vegetables, and make a nice salad out of it. i then forage a few Maroj Melons, and extract the juice from them, mixed 50/50 with some brandy, and it makes a great salad dressing.

i have other uses for the Gorax brains. Once you kill a gorax, you must chop off the head, and take it way up onto the snow covered mountains of Corellia. Allow it to chill up there for an hour or so, and then you've got Chilled Gorax Brain for desert. (sort of like the chilled monkey brains in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom).

very interesting... I'll have to try that delicassy someday.

Might I also suggest that the sweetness of Naboo Bark is a perfect compliment to the slight bitterness of the Yavinian Bark. Mixing these together brings a delightful balance to the flavour palette.

How did tailors and rangers develop such a relationship

Ok, so, back to the important stuff: BARK.

I like my bark usually from a larger dog. Those lap dogs are just annoying, and you always have to care for them. Get a BIG dog, and it ttakes care of itself. Yeah, bark from a big dog is the way to go.

The relationship between the kingdoms of Ranger and Tailor is a long and convoluted history. (To learn about the history of Ranger, I direct you to this volume. /picks large book, "History of Ranger" up off shelf: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=ranger&message.id=80801)

It all began during the reign of the wise king N'raas. Knowing that the kingdom of Ranger would become stronger with allies, he sent emissaries to all the kingdoms of the land. One kingdom in particular was receptive to King N'raas's overtures: the kingdom of Tailor. These two realms found they had much in common, what with the ranger's ability to harvest hide and the tailor's ability to use said hide for many purposes.

However, all was not as it seemed during this time. The evil gods of Marketing forced the weak yet skilled gods of Development to gift the Kingdom of Doctor with an unholy power called the "buff". The Development gods managed to spite the gods of Marketing by tying the power of the "buff" to the quality of meat. Hence, from this time forward the kingdoms of Doctor and Ranger would be forever linked. Because of this, the evil Marketing gods cursed the Ranger kingdom by forcing them to be tied to the kingdom of Chef. King N'raas managed to wrest one concession from the curse: the ability to milk. However, the gods of Marketing caused a darkness to fall on the lands of Ranger by teaching them the dark practice of milking dead creatures. It was in this dark time that N'raas passed from the world, leaving the the future of Ranger to his successor, Calc.

The kingdom of Tailor, led by n'Jessi, became jealous of the kingdoms of Doctor and Chef because of their new relationships with the land of Ranger. Animosity slowly developed between these two former allies. Some say this animosity was in fact the goal of the gods of Marketing. Regardless of whether it was intentional or not, the kingdom of Tailor, in an attemt to strike at Ranger, sold its collective soul to the gods of Marketing for the power of the Hotpants. With this new power, n'Jessi believed that the Tailors were now powerful enough to overcome the Rangers' defenses and enslave the land of Ranger. It was an easy task of manipulating King Calc into striking first, since by this time he had descended fully into madness (this is fully detailed in the History of Ranger).

Many lives were lost and sensibilities offended during the War of "Hawtness". Only the death of the mad King Calc and the ascent of a new king, Owen-Lars, to the throne was able to bring about a fragile cease-fire. And this, my young friends, this is where we are today.

It has to do with me invading their forum (which I did for many forums) when Team Hawtpants was put together, and them taking the bait. I invaded some other forums but they didn't seem to care.

Meanwhile, we were not allowed to disclose beforehand when the corr summit was scheduled because the devs were afraid of party crashers, and if all the corrs said vaguely "I'll be out of town this weekend" it would look pretty suspicious.

So how to distract people from the fact that the correspondent has mysteriously disappeared for two days (and all the other corrs are mysteriously absent too)? A forum rivalry! Calc and I therefore purposely riled up the friendly rivalry so when we both disappeared for a weekend, people were too busy arguing the hawtpant/camo war to notice. Not sure how successful we were in nobody noticing...
