Thread: Question on how to make BE clothes with multiple Multiple Reinforced Cloth
I forgot to add, that if they balk at the prices because of the extra tissues, suggest to them the other less expensive garments which only use one panel, like formfitting/reinforced shirt which they can wear underneath armor.
I always let my customers know up front that any of the fancier garments will cost a lot more if they want it enhanced because of the extra tissues eaten up. And if I have to pay for the tissues, so do they- no freebies because I am running a business with good services, not a charity. I haven't had anyone complainonce the reason for the higher cost is explained. As long as they understand what they are paying for there usually isn't a problem.
To make a multiple-tissue garment at a monetary loss just to be nice is veryrediculous. You have costs to meet, hides to buy, harvesters to feed, resources to collect, maintenance and vendors to pay- and after all that you need to pay yourself for your time and effort. Never operate at a loss as it hurts you and the tailoring economy. If you operate at a loss, people will expect other tailors to do the same.
