And I worked thru it crafting cloaks for XP while selling them on bazaar..man was that ever ages ago..long before the 'grind' was ingame as common practice for leveling.

Heh, you're not the only one. I've been a Master Tailor since about a month past launch. We didn't know what grinding was or was to be. HA! if we had only known!! Some of us did it the old fashioned way and actually crafted everything as we learned it, you know.. so you would actually KNOW your schematics.

back in the good ol' days, I used to run combat missions to feed my harvs so I can grind a little... no walking up snowy hills barefoot both ways though![]()

Oh some times I think back to when I was younger
life was so much simpler then
Server reboots at dawn,
some would log themselves back on
I might have gotten up by ten.
Guess I'll head out of town, take my harvesters down
watch two hours fly right on by.
Spend the rest of the day in Newbieville
torturing rats with a CDEF
and killin' durni for their hide.
Those were the good ol' days.
Those were the good ol' days.
The years go by but the memory stays,
and those were the good ol' days.
I can still remember Mokilok and Ne'la
who raced to Master on Intrepid.
Hardly knew either one:
I had way too much fun
helping people and taking their credits.
Always treated them nice, gave out kindly advice
I don't know why some would whine to my face.
"*bleep*in' prices too high!"
well I'm sorry "Swearing_Guy"
looks like you've just been banned from my place.
Let me tell you now:
Those were the good ol' days.
Those were the good ol' days.
The years go by but the memory stays,
and those were the good ol' days.
Do you remember Doaba Guerfel?
It was where I learned the craft.
Make some dusters, wraps, shirts, boots, cloaks, and belts,
Then head to the Coronet shuttlecraft.
Wait ten minutes for the trip, pay for some more schematics,
and wait eight more minutes to head on home.
Take that times seventeen:
I was proud as could be
each and every box I earned on my own.
I tell ya...
Those were the good ol' days.
Those were the good ol' days.
The years go by but the memory stays,
and those were the good ol' days.
Let me tell ya buddy...

When I first started, I made most of my income on selling wookiee clothes! I 'specialized' in wookiee clothing, I outfitted alot of wookiees. It was a great way to make credits and work up the tailor tree and the wookiees were happy for the service.
I also got in just before they nerfed the factories giving like 100% tailoring xp and so one entire box of the tailor tree (3rd box in the field wear) was filled from my factory.

And the huge amounts of user XP, everyone handing stuff out for free, saying wear this, eat that ...

That was the best! I made half my money selling Wookiee clothes back before I had a shop. (The other half was selling extra minerals at 5 per.

Don't understand 'grinding', myself. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, I guess, but who needs a grillion ribbed shirts? Do people enjoy that, just sitting there making endless numbers of the same thing? I get bored making a dozen fiberplast panels at a time.
