Tailor Archive
Thread: NDA lifted on ToOW, so spill if you got it!
Well, I'm still buying it because I want the goodies that come with it.. lol, skiff and house mainly.
I heard a rumor that there was new clothing in the expansion...
...but it was quest rewards in the shape of jedi robes. ![]()

As far as I know, there is nothing for tailors and nothing about clothing in this expansion.
In one way I'm kinda glad there isn't any tailor content in ToOW because it saves me money. If we are to get any new content I'd rather it came in the core game than an expansion pack, especially when that pack is so very clearly combat based.
and so far, the only 'jedi robe' that has been presented is a cloak. Dull brown. Blix said there were five 'robes' he made, one of which is the 'new' padawan robe already live. One of the new 'robes' has been found. That leaves 3 more.
And no new Tailor content at this point, either.
Bleh.
I don't think the developers realize exactly how much new clothes enhance the game. I don't think the current development team understands how important customization options are to people. I think they're pushing the art department too hard in making non-crafter expansion content, and ignoring the clothing customization because they don't perceive it as a selling point.
I think the development team has yet to realize how important clothing is to people, period. I think they don't see the fact that the desire for fashionable clothes in the real world does directly translate to in-game player behavior.

You're probably right.
I work in the software industry, and I can tell you, not too many developers are snappy dressers.

actually, yes, i am a software developer, and this is how i normally dress:
Jeans or Khaki Pants and shirts i buy from THIS WEBSITE. I've been shopping at this site for 2 or 3 years now, and have a pretty wide selection of shirts from here. And nothing says snappy dresser like a good 1940s-1950s retro button down shirt. ![]()
