Thread: Whoever thought a 7 day time limit was a good idea can rot in hell

I'm actually dropping my tailor for just this reason. It's just way too big of an annoyance. I would like to be a casual tailor with lots of items on my vendors by limiting sales by not advertising. Then I would only have to restock every now and then. As it is now... I dread logging in on those 7th days -- i usually don't. Who knows how many items I've had delete after the 72 hours.

Tell me all about it! I used to have 3 vendors stocked with more than 600 items total and I try to have lots of creative colors and ensembles so people can get something unique. Nowadays, I just can't stand it anymore. Creative clothes don't sell, period. Well, maybe they do, but not after they sit on the vendor for 3 weeks.

So now each of my vendors have 50-80 pieces of popular items which I know will sell. I know I'm probably creating fashion clones, but I already have a bald patch from pulling out my hair in frustration every time my email starts spamming me with "Unsuccessfull Auction".

I forget whoever it was that said 7 on sale and 7 in stockroom. But that's wrong, all the items go poof after 3-4 days in stockroom (or sooner). Lost 4 vendors full of stuff that way while I was on a 11 day vacation *sigh*.

And I totally agree with what someone else said, it's MY vendor, I PAY for the blasted vendor, so why should things go OFF sale after 7 days? Silliness.

I 100% hate the 7 Day Rule, as well. I hate repricing (no matter how careful you are, this increases the chance of a price typo), I hate the email spam (it never fails that I accidentally delete an email that I wanted to keep in my flurry of deleting "blah blah has not been purchased"), and I hate coming home to hours of restocking a vendor which takes away from time I wanted to spend doing other things (or doing things like checking harvesters, which I didn't really want to do, but then neither do I want them torot).

Having said that, I've read a little about the whole 7 Day Rule, and it seems it's a sort of "fix" for the whole unlimited storage problem. Well, I can understand that I suppose, and I'm really trying to, really I am, but I don'tthink it fixes anything. It's perhaps a small deterrent, at best.Small deterrent to people who use vendors as personal warehouses and price everything at 1 million credits each since there's no vendor charge on NPC's for doing this, and who it takes 5 minutes to put everything they are storing back up for sale since it all goes back up at the same price. Crafters just don't have that luxury. The 7 Day Rule is a large deterrent for tailors and any other crafter plagued by this problem, due to the huge inventories carried. When was the last time you visited a crafter's vendor where everything was all the same price?
