Thread: Crafters apron ingredient problem
I haven't bought a single one of the new quest schems. All the ones I have were given to me. I have a few duplicates I can't learn yet stashed in a droid. All the loot comps I've used were given to me too. After being givena schematic and seeing what kind it is, if it's the one the person wanted, and either I have the comps or they do and give me those too, then I make them the item. Each deal is individual, what the customer wants out of it, what I get, etc., because I won't pay for these schems. I barter. Bring me the schem, the comps, or any comps, you get one, I get one and we'll dicker over where the third one goes.
Right now I'm holding several apron schems, couple leotard ones, couple belt/bandolier ones... just waiting on getting more heavy duty leather and clasps. Which I will not buy. Those folks selling them to tailors for 100s of thousands or even millions... can dream on.
Just the hassle alone of having to spend an hour or more explaining what the aprons are, what the stats are, where/what the comps are, why I can't learn that schem or make that schem without such and such too, etc. is more than enough to make me actually avoid dealing in these quest schems. (And no, they are not the same as skill tapes. You cannot drop it into a socket. It is a belt/bandolier/apron/leotard.Where did that rumor get started anyway??) Even if you send them the link to swgtailor.com, or even copy the whole page into an email -- they are not "getting it."
Some people's heads are really thick and they just don't understand or won't believe how this limited use + loot comps schematic thing works andsome of themthink I am lying when I say, no this is not the medical stat apron, this one was the clothing stat apron, and no, I can't trade you back the schem, it's umm one with my datapad now. Read my lips. Bring me the loot comps. I will make it for you. Till then, buh-bye.
Gee, like, if they get the "wrong" apron, what's to keep them from bartering with someone else who has the "right" apron? Or bartering for the loot comps? Works for me.
