Thread: Clothing Pricing?

Here's part of the problem Nohoah, we are on Sunrunner...where everything has become more expensive except clothing, it has actually dropped. If people are tipping you that much for clothing, feel pretty fortunate. I was visiting some shops on our server and was shocked at some of the prices people were charging for master items. I don't know if this is a result of holo grinding or what, but I'd really like things to go back to the way they were a few months ago...Basically I would charge 100-500 credits for artisan level clothing and anywhere from 1000-10,000 for novice tailor to master tailor items, depending on how much cloth or special resources they needed, the level of the item, etc, etc, and go up for BE clothing. I've often wondered if this is a similar problem for other tailors on other servers or is it primarily on ours?

Bio Clothes sellfor 75k for +25 clothes and 50k for clothes that get +15.

Top Tier Items 10k

Middle Tier Items 6k

bottom tier 3k

Accessory itmes like gloves, boots etc... 1k-2k

Special Limited Schematic items 500k (remember once everyone's done the theme park missions you wont be able to get these schematics anymore, so these items are extreamly valuable)

Heres the way i figure it, when I sold stuff for half those prices i would get like 100 regular customoers, now that i doubled my prices i only get around 50 regular customers. So now i'm getting the same amount of money but only have to work half as much.... Which allows me to go on hunts and have some other fun.

I also only stock popular items on the vender, and will make other items if i'm e-mailed a request for it. That way i dont have to stock everything and every color...

Sounds like me...it would be pretty cool if the tailors couldhave a kind of unspoken agreement of sorts to charge around the same price, but not undercut each ohter to the point where you're losing money making items rather than making money. I know this problem drove some folks to just give it up completely, which is too bad. Well, I think I will charge what I was charging and just be firm. It's not like I'm in it for the money LOL!

Poor Songe! On Bria I'm putting noob tailor items on the bazaar (box 0,1,2 stuff) and charging 4k for them. I put 20+ on the bazar a day and at least 15 sell each day at that price. I really think people are just glad to see such items offered conveniently at any price.

On Wanderhome I have a noob character who will be a novice tailor soon (no plans to master I'll just be getting a few boxes, just need some credits to support some other activities). Looking at the clothing market there, there is virtually no competition on the bazaar at all, so again I think even for noob stuff I'll be able to charge pretty much what I want.

Yeah... Had to decrease my prices on master items to 5k and it's still more expensive than most places.

I made a price list for myself based on resource cpu. I based my resources on 10 cpu, hides at 15 cpu and if there was factory crated parts those got a 50% increase in cpu. My end result was a price list that looked fair and gave me a profit I was comfortable with. I guess as long as your customers come back satisfied and you are happy with your profit margin it's all good
