If you want a nice cozy little house I would suggest a small tatooine house. They are very easy to light up and the front room is great for at least 7 display outfits and a spot for your vendors. I have one set up on tatooine with 8 outfits (room for more) and a nice counter made out of faction furniture. I've even been told by several customers that the house was the best house they have ever seen in star wars.

It's rather hard to find, it seems, but I fell in love with the Generic style 2 floorplan 2 (and only that specific one). Two oblong rooms, a front and back. Front is great for vendors, displays, etc. Back is good for a crafting station and storage. Easy to light up, and no annoying opening hallway. It's not really big, but it serves the purpose nicely. Only problem is it's not often stocked by Architects for one reason or another. I had to order mine special, and the first architect I asked gave me the wrong one.
As mentioned by someone above, the small Tat house with a similar layout is nice too, but since I'm on Naboo, that doesn't work well. I considered the Naboo medium, which I quite like, but it's helplessly dark.

My shop for most of the past year has been the Large Generic Style 2. I loved it. The floorplan is easier than the Large Generic style 1(way less confusing). Nice first room for displays, and the living room area down the stairs is perfect for vendors and more displays. It holds 250, so lots of space(although I never had spare space because 200 items were displays hehe). It's a great house for a tailor shop just due to the large main rooms.
The downside of course being that it uses 6 lots. Which can be hard if you only have 1 account, or don't have a friend who can place other things for you. However, I find it's doable, given that you'd have 2 lots left for factories, and 2 for harvesters, on the occasion you need them.
If you can't do a large, I like Medium Tat houses next. I recently revamped my shop because I wanted more factories and a second house for me to craft in, and that's what I have now. Much less room for displays, but it's also cozier, due to the lighting and depth of the house. The 2 main rooms are very cute. Really, 2 mediums are a good way to go anyways, since you get more storage, for less lots than 1 large. I like having a seperate private house for crafting and resource storage too.
And yes, Tat PA Halls are awesome, if only PA's didn't take up 9 lots.

7?? Hrm, well funny how you can still learn something new everyday even after this long. That's just specific to the Tat halls right? The other halls are still 9, or did they lower them all to 7? Thanks guys.
I'm still glad I went to a 2 mediums though, so much easier. Plus a Tat Hall wouldn't fit on my hill, and I love my location too much to move. hehe

Generic halls are 9, planet specific ones are 7.

Nope, only the tat halls are 7. The others are 9 lots, whether they're naboo, corellia or generic.
