Not as much as you'd think. It doesn't hurt to approach it from the tailor angle as well. BE's have four areas: pets, pet pharma, tailor tissues, chef tissues, and unfortunately tailor tissues are often buried under some of the other "higher profile" ones (in particular pets).

BE Tissues would be nice, such as a Poison/Disease Resistance one, but thats an issue for BE's more than us and i'm sure they are poking the dev's with a firestick on that issue as it is already.

take the quest idea and use the schematics idea and combnie them. Make challenging quests for crafters that grant us new permanent schematics and possibly make those schematics profession specific. Heck maybe make a puzzle quest where we have to display knowledge of a certain prof to get a schematic that relates to it. (I think its safe to say that crafters as a whole like to use their brian more than brawn so quiz type quests may not be a bad idea)
Great Idea Rizzaka!
I hate the limited use schematics too. But asa TKM I would love to run around in a robe rather than clunky armor. I love the idea of a quest that would tie TKs and Tailors together.
I would love to see some kind of clothing similar to the "robe" that is a rare loot drop. I wear those robes all the time with my TKM to help fit the role.

First off, don't get me wrong. I, too, agree 100% that the best all around solution is more permanent schematics with more options such as colors or even patterns or textures. The problem is, however, it seems to me that the only way we're likely to get that is with a significant tailor revamp, and as much as we'd all like to see one, as far as I can tell it's not gonna happen anytime soon. What is more likely in the iterim, are limited use schematics or possibly a trickling of a few new permanent schematics for specific purposes such as the chef clothing. I do hope that we get our turn in the revamp priority list as soon as possible, but until then I don't have a problem with the addition of a new schematic here and there even if it's only for a specific purpose. The truth is I even like the idea of the limited use schematics in game right now. It gives an element of rarity to certain items, and I think it's cool to be able to craft some items that have special enhancements for specific uses - beyond BE enhancements. It also adds to the interdependency aspect by having others get the items that I, myself, might not be able to get. I would also welcome more limited use schematics in the game - not in lieu of, but in addition to the other changes that our profession needs. I would welcome these schematics provided that 1) the item is craftable (DE Toolkit), 2) the enhancements are useful (Demolitionist Belt) and 3) the components make sense (Tailor Crafter's Apron), and yes I would also prefer that the completed item not use the same image as an existing item in the game, even if all they did was to add a slight graphical variation to it. My biggest problems with the existing loot schematics (aside from the worthlessness of the demo belt) are the clutter factor in my inventory, for storing the extra scrolls for the items I already have in my data pad and for the excess loot drop items which don't stack, and the crafter's aprons that aren't differentiated unless you can actually transfer it into your data pad. I do wish the identical components would stack, and that I could either file my extra scrolls somewhere that wouldn't take up so much space, or just have the ability to add 3 more uses each time I read the same one in.
Now granted my friends and guildmates have kept me well stocked in both the schematics themselves and the loot drop items so the most I've had to do is to do is be patient. Considering that the most they have asked from me is some of the finished products, they have left me the rest to do with as I please, and I have been happy to have lent them my services. I would feel differently if some 13 year old commando-type comes to me and demands that I make him some special item because he just got it and that I have to do it because I'm a tailor. Honestly I haven't had to deal with anyone quite like that, and if I did I would simply refuse him my services and introduce him to my ignore list if necessary. There has only been one time that I stopped dealing with someone, and it was because they seemed to get annoyed that I asked them how they wanted their order (you know, annoying questions like "What kind of pants would you like?", "What kind of buff would you like in them?", "What color would you like?"), and eventually ended up yelling at me (typing in all caps). I just stopped responding and never heard back from them.
So in conclusion I suppose my points are just that I definitely think that we need more permanent schematics and more options, and that this should be considered our priority, but that I also support the use of limited schematics and special use schematics as either an interim solution or in addition to a more permanent one. Perhaps I'm in the minority on this latter point, but it is the way I feel about it based on my own game experiences.

I think Rizzaka's idea is really intriguing. Personally, I've had a lot of fun creating outfits that suit my customers, but sooner or later Tailors need new gameplay content. I think having a Tailor quest for each of the professions would be a lot of fun. Not only would it giveus new, permanent schematics, but it would also give us things to do when we're not in the mood to create even more stock for our vendors or sit down with yet another disrespectful customer who can't understand the unique trials of being a Tailor.
I'd even be in favor of having a combat element to certain quests, especially those that would allow us to make new schematics for combat professions. My character is not at all into combat (Master Tailor, Master Armorsmith, journeyman Merchant), so I would have to rely on help from people in the combat professions, but that just enhances player interaction.
Great thoughts, Rizzaka.

actually i rethought about it. You know the bestine painting quest? why can't we get a quest so that we get new schematics each month, limited use kinda deals like the painting. ( i know that we don't WANT limited use but its there to make the game play constant as well as help the economy)
there is that little island on corellia and i think it'd be a great place for an NPC tailor to set up shop and give us schematics as a reward for a constantly changing quest.
Again i know i for one don't want/like limited use schematics but i think the dev's want to go this way for game play reasons sadly.
