3000 for me too, on Shadowfire. I believe I amnear the lower end of the scale though. I price subcomponents at 6 cpu (so Trim is 3750 and RFP is 4500) and I keep a vendor specifically for selling them (usually packaged 10 crates in a backpack with the serial number plainly labeled)

Wow jeni, your on the cheap end? lol i don't do much comparative shopping.... i am on shadowfire too and charge 2500 per crate for most things, RFP i think i do 3K per.

I always run out of stock, i need to get another factory in fact just so i can keep production going 24/7

Well, Drrty, you *are* the cheap end on our server, for just about everything My comparison comes from other Coronet-based suppliers, which is where I do my business. I've heard of 5 cpu supplies in Breen - which is what your's works out to also. I also know some tailors that charge 9k a crate and can't keep them in stock *shurg*. I too can't keep them stocked, but I imagine the demand out of Breen is even higher.

Of course, when used in armor, the resulting items are usually charged out at anywhere from 30 - 100 cpu. So 5 or 6 or even 18 cpu for subcomps is pretty reasonable. Great composite with a good slice will go for 200+ cpu on Shadowfire.

I just can't imagine someone charging 2k/crate on Bria

/boggle

Bria is a very expensive server. I don't think it's worthy of my time or my factory's time to sell it even at 5k a crate, but 2k?

We've had this discussion many times before, but I just want to point it out once again. Muscle shirt takes 1 cloth and essentially 1 more cloth worth of chemicals. So call it 2 cloths. I sell em on the bazaar for 4k and in my vendor for 1k. So to me the value of a crate of cloth is somewhere between 25k and 100k, lol. Why would I sell it for 2k?

That's an easy one.... because your volume on muscle shirts is low and your labor in a muscle shirt is high. Therefore you need a large markup for it to be viable.

For factory crates, the volume is high and the effort is low. Lower markup. I can easily sell 1000 synthetic cloth. Selling 1000 muscle shirts takes rather a lot longer.

Or, how's this.... at 25k a crate, you are selling at > 20 cpu. At 100k a crate, its > 80 cpu. That doesn't leave much room for the AS to mark up the resulting armor.Where's the incentive for the AS to buy your stuff?

There is no incentive for them to buy at a price I'm willing to sell, that's why I don't sell them, lol, that's my whole point.
