Thread: I strong protest the Holo Imager
Agreed 100%. The "hands-on" and creative aspects of tailors is what makes the profession what it is. Take that away and give customers the ability to come up with their own and you've killed the tailoring profession.

I am already overworked and I feel this is an un-needed tool.
Skilled tailors should be able to make recommendations to clients without the use of this 'tool'.. isn't that WHY they come to a tailor instead of a vendor?
Please NO Holo-imagers

id like to see this in game. If it saves me having to make 15 pairs of blue pants because the customer desnt know what blue they want (and they usually take the one i made first anyway- just want to try all 15 shades for the heck of it) - its fine by me.
I have never had this happen to me.. ever. Never in my tailoring career have I ever had to make 15 pairs of pants in all shades of blue for anyone.
Any customer picky enough to want to see all shades of a certain color is exactly the kind of person who will use (and enjoy looking at) an external website. I've tailored since beta, and I've never had anyone ask to see more than 4-5 shades, and even cases where they want to see that many are rare.
I disagree with the idea ofan interactivedevice that will show customers all of our schems and colors while we're working on the item because I do not want to become a clothing assembly bot. I enjoy the creative aspect of working with customers, so sitting with someone while they say "ooh, what about that one on the left? over one more, no not that one" is just not my idea of a good time.
I would love it though if they'd let us have some kind of catalog that we could use to show off a few styles in specific colors. That would be an example of an addition that would let us show off our creativity instead of us standing around in cities acting like custom clothing terminals.
Of course, the easier way to do this would be IF THEY LABELED OUR COLOR PALLETTE
I use Eva's way of numbering (I tried the letter number combo and got too confused)... Left to right then top to bottom starting off with 1. I tell all of my customers how I label my clothing so that if they ever want something made to coordinate or match, they can easily do so with another tailor if I am unavailable. Plus nothing is easier than saying to a customer, "What's the number by the color I made for you in those pants?" when they ask for a jacket to match.
Come to think of it, I get more compliments on my naming system on some days then my clothes themselves, sheesh I am going to be so indebted to Eva that I will owe her my first born child.
