The one that I really hate about clothing in this game is the option to not be able to change the color of my clothing at will. There is nothing worse then have 15 of the same peice of clothing or even 2 for that matter oh because they are all different colored. I waste space at my home by having so many clothes and well as item space, waste of server space for having so many items and it would be nice to have a lower item count in my house for other things I really need.

Here is what I propse....

Make a clothing dye kit that Tailors sell and can be used by anyone. Its a simple thing really to click on this item or a menu on the clothing item to use dye tub and change the color of my clothes, shoes, backpacks at will. I feel this would be a much better thing for tailors selling clothing because they could have a lot more clothing on there vendor and not have to have 10 of the same type of dress, all in different colors. I know the biggest problem I have when I shop tailor vendors is I find what i want but its NOT in my color. So I move on and go look else where. By allowing the player to set there own colors this would in return sell a lot more clothing for a tailor because they could make any color clothing and it wouldnt matter because the cust could just change the colors at will. And MOST IMPORTANT with this idea, CLOTHING DYE COLORS should not wear off like Vehicles and Droids do. Once you dye the clothing it stays that color and does not decay. This would not lose any business for Tailors and if anything help them to sell more clothing from vendors. Please post your comments here regarding this change and hopefully if this goes well we can have it pushed to be changed in the game...

Thank you

I like your idea, but we need to take it a lot farther than that.

My alt uses guns. Lots of guns. He's a BH so he has like 10 different guns. Plus he's been a carbineer, rifleman in the past and it sucks having to switch over to a totally new line of guns each time. I think we need to fix this. How about weaponsmiths sell us a little "forge" and a "gun kit". That way whenever we need a new gun, we can melt down our old one and make it into a new one? That would rule!!! But crap, armor too. I go through armor like nobody's business, and I hate having to keep two suits, one for my hunting and another for pvp. That sucks, we shouldn't have to do that. Hmmm....I've got it! Armorsmiths should sell a sewing machine. Any time I need a pair of composite, I take my ubese, use the sewing machine on it, and wouala! A brand new pair of composite. We've gotta get rid of decay though too, cause I just hate having to buy the same guns and amor over and over. This will help those armorsmiths too cause they work too hard. They shouldn't have to work so hard, so this will help them

You know what else I hate? Having to pay hunters for hide. Shouldn't have to do that. But I'm full of good ideas today so I have another. There should be a hide delivery service NPC that is on call. For a modest fee he would come to my shop, and drop off whatever hide that I need. No more hunters, yay!

ok great but your in the wrong forum for that.. Clothing is an issue that we all use. I totally disagree with the personal contact with a person and a tailor. Most people place orders and say put it on a vendor and I will pick it up. Trust me when I say you will make more money letting a player chose there own color when they want then you will doing vendors with a set color. If you want a personal touch with customers then thats what standing in Coronet and spamming all day is about

I became a tailor because I love color andhelping folks look good. I like interacting with people and helping them decide what are the best outfits and colors for them. I would hate to lose these things. I don't make as much money as the other artisan trades, but don't mind because I love what I do. I am afraid if you took this away, I would lose a lot of what I love. I did not become a tailor for a holo, ignored my holo when it said to go a different direction even. I became a tailor because that is what I wanted to do. I will remain a tailor even though yes, it is sometimes tedious making things in a bunch of different colors. I still love my profession and color is part of it.

I do not like this idea since color is the one thing that keeps the tailor alive. If you want something in a new color you have to get it from a tailor. If there was to be a kit like this it should be useable only by tailors. This would be nice for two reasons. One we could change a customers clothing for them and not have to re-make them. Two..we could run factory crates of items and color them as we put them on our vendors. Putting a kit in the hands of everyone is just taking away the only thing a tailor has atm.

I think you may have not been in a shop that is well stocked and full of color options. From what i can tell the more colors i put on my vendors the less custom orders i see coming into my email box. I am stocking 16 various colors right now. People have even said to me "I cam in looking for such and such but you had so many other colors that I found something I liked even better" Clothing is a creative aspect of your character..it is what makes your character unique. Part of the problem is I am told by many of my customers is until they started coming to my shop they could never find a tailor to take the time to make what they wanted and have some paitence to help them put together a look.

Yes clothing is used by everyone and so it is in real life...but how many people make and or color their own clothing. We leave that up to the fashion designers. As it should be left to the tailors in SWG.

I'm sorry you feel that you shouldn't have to buy more than one type of every outfit, but lets be honest, this is just you complaing about your space and monitary issues. If dye kits came out at 1 use per I'm sure every tailor would charge 5 or 6k for them to make up the revenue they are loosing when someone doesn't buy that fleshwrap in another color.

And as someone said before, you can bet most of the 1 stars are not from some phantom stalker, but from some very annoyed tailors.
