Thread: Tailoring Wishes, Dreams and Screams (v3.0)
Since this is a roleplaying game and it has smugglers and such which would allow more possiblities to the roleplay aspect of going undercover or hiding from someone....
Allow all items to be worn by either sex.
I know there are some items that I would like to be allowed to wear on my male avatars that they can not currently wear. Since there are many planets that are not in the game and a huge variety of clothing customs across differant races I would see it only fitting to allow such a change.
I'd like to see schematics for the following:
Hoods for non-Wookies!
Ponchos (again, for non-Wookies!)
"Desert Raider" Headwraps with a face piece (like a length of the wrap that can be secured across the nose/mouth)
Colour Standardisation- I may be imagining it, but sometimes when I try to make matching colour outfits, the colour I select for one isn't available for another or it's in a different position on the colour picker. I'd rather see lower level tailors given a fixed selection of colours for ALL items, with more becoming available higher up the tree.
Arm jewelry - torcs and wraps around the biceps would be nice, particularly for entertainers.

Was hoping for hosiery for existing skirts and dresses. Even single color (i.e. leg tinting) would be a huge improvement over my bare legs
"It would be interesting to have some way of pulling from the database how many of your items are out in the galaxy. Just imagine how many things you've made since starting on this path that you've given away/sold. How many of them are still out there? I know I get a kick when I go into someone's house and they have one of my items there."

Ok guys Im not a tailor but a commando, the only problem is Im a wookiee so the only commando without composite armor lol. I think it would be great for more wookiee clothes cause its so boring now I wear hide jerken just cause I dont wana look like everyone else. Push for new wook clotes!
Yachew-GuNiT General-Corbantis-Master Commando
The cool Mon Calimari flight jumpsuits that the admiral and crew ware in Return of the Jedi would be nice to make.
Matrix type trenchcoats with shiny leather
multipul styles of different clothing chosen at the customization screen. For example you chose lets say a head wrap. we could have a style where there is mor of a hang down in the back or one that looks like a turban sort of.
The ablility to add to clothse. be able to make a jewl emblum and put it i the center of a dress or something like that.
Ok, I have a new #1 issue: repair kits & repairing. I think each Elite class should get a bonus to their repair kit crafting. I had to drop Engineering to pick up other skills. The best I can make a repair kit? 67%! I'm a Master freakin Tailor and I'm not assured at least 90% when repairing clothes??
I had someone ask me to repair his clothes the other day. I had to make him a new cloak since I failed and it went to 1/1. When he asked why I wouldn't fix his BE-shirt I had to tell him I didn't want to risk destroying it.
I understand Engineering=making things. But for the love of Jeebus, I can make all (ok 99%) of the clothes people want fixed so why shouldn't I be able to repair them???
I would rather expend a fraction of the resources needed to make the item to repair it.
Here's what I wish I had: A way to tell what color I made something.
For example, I make a shirt with two colors. Later, I want to make a matching pair of pants. Did I use that dark blue or the other dark blue? I can't remember. Guess. Ugh. I was wrong.
Maybe NUMBER the colors so I can see what I did?
Better yet, have a "match that" box where you select an item with two colors, click the MATCH THAT button, and the new item has the two colors selected. You can switch them around if need be, but it matches what you did.
Isn't that a terrific idea?
I'd like to see an option to equip/remove the hood from hooded clothing (such as grand healers robe)
Maybe /hood on and /hood off could be the commands.
Also, clothing that glows or shines.
Glow and shimmer dye should be rare, and only available to master tailors. It should be gained from a quest, sort of like the armorsmiths quest.
Glowing should cast light the same way a torch does. That would look so cool at night. ![]()
(actually, I'd like to see every profession have it's own special quest, but thats for another thread teehee)
