No we are not evil, but not everyone wants to wade through pages and pages of info in the stickies to find the solution to their problem either. Sorry but last time I checked, it didnt kill anyone to answer them quickly and efficiently AND refer them to the stickies for further information. No need to be rude to people - they are after all, your customers.

Frankly I've been taken aback several times by the rudeness shown to people asking questions on the tailor forums. Maybe we could try a little patience and keep in mind they might be very very new and not know what a stickie is. I know I was new once upon a time and thankfully, very nice people explained to me how things worked.

I also understand that the same questions are asked repeatedly and it does get frustrating, but could we try to answer people a little more diplomatically?

You catch more fllies with honey than with vinegar ...

And that's my 2 cents worth.

I think Baracca sums it up well.

Even if you've seen a question a thousand times, its still new to the questioner.

There is no need to make statements such as "You are getting this automated response". Such are not really productive, make the person feel they wasted their time posting and that noone really cared.

Posting something such as:

Have you read the sticky here.

Providing a link so they can go there is much more fruitful than some things I've seen.

I type horridly

I spell even worse

a macro'd response IS my friend

and I for one will definately continue to do so as it keeps me from posting rants and flames and all around 'quit being lazy and read the damb board' comments to each and everyone who asks

my macros are there because I do care, because I do not want my feelings to interfere with knowledge hat can be gained from the forums.

So they will remain, blunt, and dry, and impersonal..so that I do not bleed nor cause bleeding
