Thread: Sorting is great... but.. (list of items that are sorting incorrectly)

Robes are robes, why would i look for Administraor's robe, plain robe or even robe under the category "dress" rather than "robe"?

Why is the gunmans duster a robe, the cloak a cloak and the spec ops duster a jacket?

Why is there a cloak catogory when there is only one cloak?

Why was it so hard to make one extra category to split skirts and gloves in their own categories rather than to put them together under misc?

Why is the fleshwrap a bodysuit and the leotard a dress?

Could we get race-specific categories to get all the wookiee clothing or twi'lek clothing together in one category with no subcategories (its not so hard to search through 20 wookiee items after all)

I like the sorting, just wish it started out collapsed. Fix the misplaced items and I prefer it that way in the crafting tool. Make it an option though

I've been testing this a bit and I'm now positive items have been labeled by what item slots they take up.

For example, the dress robe takes up only the jacket slot, it does not take off items that a robe normally would. The items in the dress section take up the same slots as each other, different than that of robe and cloak. The cloak has backpack issues, so it gets it's own section.

I'm pretty certain that this is the way it was intended. I don't think it's the best option myself, but it seems to have it's merits. What I'd like to see is a more defined explination of what stacks and what doesn't. Originally they listed several slots that a person would be able to wear for this game. I wonder what happened to that idea, or if it still exists in a cloaked fashion. *shrugs*

BTW, has anyone made a dress robe since the big patch? Before the patch I was able to make them in bright red, and I'm wondering if that is still true.

Ah well, Signing off,

I agree.

1. Wookiee clothing needs its own category.

2. List needs to start out collapsed.

I did think that many many items had been miscategorized, but now i'm starting to believe that they are categorized by slots they take up, rather than clothing style. I'm not sure which I prefer, but it certainly needs to be explained, or made more intuitive.

Cold weather gloves are in misc, should be in handwear.

Since all the handwear are gloves, can we call it gloves? Headwear and Handwear are very easy to get mixed up. LOL more of a wishlist than anything else.

Spec op dusters and gunman's dusters should be in the cloak catagory i think. Seems silly to have a catagory of one. IMHO, and call them overcoats.

many other things have already been mentioned. (smocks, dress robe, wookiee wear etc.)

The misc catagory seems to be all skirts/wraps, why not just call it skirts then? hehe

And yes DEFINATELY start out the trees collapsed please. I'm doing more scrolling now, not less.

I wish it could be grouped by woman specific/ non specific too, but i guess thats too much to ask. LOL

What might be better than starting collapsed is for the tool to remember your settings. maybe you want one tool collapsed except for the components section or for quick access to something you make often? Actually that'd be asking too much now. Just start it collapsed I agree with that.

Sort Wookiee by itself.

I think I saw you wanted the top 5 things again.

1. Decay
2. Bring back color (or get more info on it regarding elite-elite profession?)
3. Start the crafting tool with collapsed menu.
4. Sort Wookiee in it's own category.
5. Regarding color, give certain items more color choices and 2-tone color even (dusters, bandoliers) just that certain items only have a tiny choice to select from and they're all the muted boring versions of that color. (again this could be part of an elite-elite profession setup?)

I just threw this together off top of my head at work. They're on the right track. Keep up the good work.

Agree with above posters.

1. Wookiee clothing needs its own category.

2. List needs to start out collapsed.

If that is true then I think this might be more an indication of items using the wrong slots than anything else. Like the cold weather gloves under Misc because they also use the arm slot... I don't think anyone who'd need to wear those gloves wouldn't also wear a jacket of some kind.

Overall I agree...

  • Sort items to what makes sense to us, not what makes sense in the game engine.

  • Start out the lists collapsed.

  • Give wookiees (and the lekku wear items) their own categorie(s).

Still, I much like the changes we got since the patch.

I find the new sorting method to be cumbersome to use. I liked it better without sorting, just simple alphabetical order .. was easier to find what I wanted.

I think cold weather and uniform gloves are not under handwear because they take up the jacket slot as well. Which really annoys me, since they are the only two gloves I know of that can use the full range of colours
