lol.. I misread your post, sorry.

You could however fill your back pack and inventory with a couple of crates of the same item. Then have someone kill you over and over again. I am pretty sure, you would see a difference in failures, if you repair 50% while a novice marksman repairs the other 50%. The question is how big will the difference be... hmmm...

Thats a thought. I could clone, fill my backpack and inventory with about 100 shirts or something and go say hello to one of the local Maulers. I am sure they would be more than happyto kill me. I'll then have Momoko repair 50 and Eimi repair 50 with repair tools out of the same crate and record the results. This might be interesting and finally give us an answer to the question of whether we get a bonus or not.

I read through that thread, thanks for the link NJ. I agree with Rand, repairing in this game is complete "hokus pokus". It reeks of a half implemented (well, maybe less than half implemented, hehe) feature that for some unexplained reason got pushed lived before it was finished.

Just an update on the progress of my experiment. I died with several crates of boots in my inventory, but I discovered that decayed crates have perfectly good clothes inside, so I have to pull them all out and die all over again. Unfortunately I will be away for most of the weekend, so it will be Sunday night before I can try again. Anyway, the plan is to have 100 identical decayed boots and 100 identical decayed shirts, all at 950/1000. I will have both Eimi and Momoko repair 25 of each with identical 99.7% and 20% repair tools. I can post all the raw data if someone wants it, but I think the most important thing will be to see how many successes (where the condition increases), failures (where the condition decreases) and complete failures (where it goes to 1/1) I get for each category and post the averages and standard deviations, proving once and for all that I am part nerd.
