Thread: PLEASE REPORT HERE: Bugs and Problems with the publish 6 limited-use schematics

I critical failed and didn't lose a use yesterday... However, on my last use of one schematic, when I clicked create prototype I got spammed by 10 messages saying 'the uses for the temporary schematic have been reduced' or something of the kind, then 10 messages saying 'the temporary schematic for crafter's apron has been revoked', then 10 'crafting session failed' and it ate my ingredients and the last use...

Sometimes your draft schematics are out of order: try looking through your entire draft schematic database using control -d. If you're looking using yourcrafting tool, you need to be by a private crafting station.

Let us know if the problem persists.

Crit failed on the Tailor's Crafting Apron and lost all materials. Losing those leathers hurt. Everything else has worked correctly.

Today I critical failed making a Doc's Crafting Apron. I lost both the scematic use and the ingredients (including the 2 portions of Heavy Duty Leather) - which, I might add, my customer had paid 80k for! So, how do you explain this to a customer? I was too upset at the time to take a screen shot...I should have I guess.

I was using a +14.04 crafting tool - all other ingredients OQ950+ and a 39 Crafting Station. I think it is time I just give up. If they were my ingredients it wouldnt be so bad - but when you are crafting with someone elses looted items, the crafting tool should at least produce a viewable Critical Failure alert or something - so that the customer can see you are not just pocketing their valuable looted items.

Are the devs trying to kill tailor now or what? I mean first they a predominently non-combatant professions shematics that require combat skills to obtain, and looted items to go into the schematics as well. Then they give us this critical failure/resource/schematic loss situation as well.....it's just not worth it...

I think my tailoring days are drawing to a close - which is sad, coz I love it. But, things like this are just not worth the upset.

Make sure and make yourself a tailor crafters apron and then eat pyollian bread before you craft any expensive item. I have not crit failed on them when I use this combination. The Pyollian gives +7 to assembly and increases your chances of assembling the item.

I failed on crafting the apron without making the item!! I had opened the schematic and started to add the materials, then I realized I didn't have a food/chem crafting tool, so Ibacked out of making the apron to make the crafting tool, and failed when I hit the back button. I lost the heavy leathers and also lost one use on the apron.

So even though I never finished the entire crafting process Ifailed. It only happens on the new schematics.

N'Jessie it seems to happen randomly, I had backed out of crafting on the aprons before and it didn't do that. So, its not fixed yet.

On the critical failure/schematic use issue: I crit failed an exquisite dancer's leotard the other night (that'll teach me to use the worse station just because crimson razor cats are camping the house with the good one) and didn't lose a schematicuse. I'm guessing it's because I had another CCT and just tried again immediately instead of backing out of the crafting process. (I'm happy to say that the other 3 I made went off without a hitch, so yay! 4 leotards made in two days and only 1 wasted CCT)

I've been wondering if I was doing something different... I have only lost a use when I critical fail, but I use the ctrl-D and open the crafting tool to check components, going right into the schematic itself... but never lost a use. I always use the BACK option, never just cancelling the session. I would say I have done this at least 10 times with no loss ever.

Used up 2 full schematics last night crafting 3 demoltion belts and 3 lightweight backpacks in a row didn't crit fail any of em and those were inbetween 2 very busy hours of crafting almost non stopwith only 1 crit failure in those 2 hours.

VERY nerve wracking tho' when you're using a customer schematics and leathers/clasps. I was hovering my finger over the printscreen button to screenie a crit failure as I always like to have proof that I'm not just saying I crit failed and ripping the guy off!

Don't think I've been as nervous making something as I was the first time I spent a (in my early days, relative) fortune buying my first BE tissue and making it into a tissue and into an item. But I digress point is no crit failures although I was expecting the window to pop as I had been crafting for a good while without one.

Wow wish I was on your server, leather is goign for 200k to 250k per pair on flurry and those crit failures are killers, plus even if you do get a finished product, we cant sell it.no one wants to pay that much for an item, but since the resources (leather, schematics, etc) that went into it are so expensive we cant sell at a loss, so they are just going stagnant on flurry.

Bear with me this goes on a bit...

MAN I AM APOPLECTIC with RAGE right now! So i annoyed I feel like cancelling my account on the spot

I had a semi regular of mine ask me if I could craft hima docs apron if he supplied mw with a looted schematic adn the parts. "No problem" I said I made 2 full runs of schematics without a a crit fail 2 nights ago....

He duly exchanged me the schematic which I learned gave me all the ingredients the main of course being 2 identical pieces of heavy leather which had cost him 400k in total...

Made the schematic and as I'm beaming in the happy glow of a job well done I open the trade window to give him his nice new apron...Hmmm where is that apron? should be in my inventory somehwere lets see if the tools finishing up..hmmm nope seems to be done but NO FRICKIN APRON appears!

I then slightly panicky at this point check to see if the ingredients are at least in my pack...Nope nowhere to be seen, now I DIDN'T crit fail as I had already finished and got the "your item was a success" window then I go to the combat scroll tab to check what happened and notice that I had recived 2 "you have used up a use of this schematic youhave 2 uses left" and the other one saying "you now have 1 use of this item left"

ERRR **edit**? I only crafted ONE item and not only did it say that the crafting process has finished TWICE it also says I used TWO uses of my schematic...all that AND NO FRICKIN APRON AT ALL!

Customer is VERY annoyed (to put it mildly) so I tip him the cost of the leathers (400k man I felt SICK) not only that but i had his schematic and nothing was going to bring that back to him so I offered to reimburse him but he said no to that...Not only does the customer now think I ripped him off he's probably going to tell eveyone he knows not to do business with me, this is a potentially HUGE loss of business (and face) for me (as well as being out close to half a million credits).

I'm awaiting a response froma CSR but I quit playing for the night in disgust and I'm PRAYING that a server reset brings this item back. THES BUGS NEED SORTED had I been a new master who didn't have the 400k to give back to the customer I'd probably get reported and slapped with a ban for griefing a customer. I now know how the poor souls who had their entire business wiped out by bugs feel! My heart goes out to you guys FIX THE BUGS! NEVER MIND NEW CONTENT JUST PLEASE SORT OUT THESE BUGS THIS ISA BUSINESS KILLER AND A SUBSCRIPTION LOSER.

This is so frustrating for me, because these schematics seem to be buggy without a pattern. Arrrgh.

Keep the stories coming - anything, anything we can do to track down those nasty bugs!
Schematic name: Droidsmith Tool Set >
Screenshots: Ingredients; Stats
Location found: Imperial Theme Park, Col. Veers
Number of Uses: 3
Ingredients: 1 cargo pocket, 20 fibreplast, 15 metal, 10 metal, 1 reinforced fibre panel, 15 non-ferrous metal, 1 droid repair tool, 2 identical heavy duty clasp from a factory crate
Appearance: Mercenary Bandolier
Stats: Droid assembly 5, Droid customization 5, Droid Experimentation 3.
Restrictions: Like all bandoliers, presumably cannot be worn with a backpack
Palette: Presumably leather/white like the mercenary bandolier
Additional Info: Is not currently craftable because there is no such thing as a droid repair tool! However, if you find a droid repair tool from before it was taken out of the game (6 months ago) that will work!
Can not craftcraft the Droid Smith Tool Set. The Droid Repair Tool does not exist.

This isn't a bug per se, just stupid. The Demolitionist's Belt has skill mods that no longer apply, so the only skill mod that matters is the thrown weapon accuracy, and commandos aren't willing to pay much for that.
