I know most all of us have at least 1 vendor, would hate to think any have not been paying them, but just incase be weary.

Yes. This is a very important change! Everyone go check your vendors and make sure they have maintenence in them! I will sticky this to make sure everyone sees it!

I have had a vendor in my shop that used to work, but the person who owned it rerolled the char. The vendor never disappeared, and after the last merchant patch, it just went to 'vendor not initialized' when you click on it.
Please say this will make it disappear out of my shop!!! It's been there since early this summer, at least.

No where does it state for a fact the vendor will poof if at zero maint.
Please do not start our normal OMG my stuff will be gone frenzy that the forums so love.
Doc is trying to find out exactly what it does.
Personally I think :
This is just basically the DEV's saying..
So you took it as a we didn't notice it was broken type thing...
well let's fix that.
I am all for vendors without maint giving up the 'this market is unavailble' box and removing themselves from map.
Would be an even better kick in the butt if they sent everything in stock room if you do not pay.
{imagine people paying 1 credit thinking their safeand relist to see it all flood back into stock
}
As for someone who rerolled a toon with a vendor still in place..you must ticket it, and have the person who owned it ticket it.
CSR cannot remove the vendor but if it isn't stated and recorded it won't help in the future either.
(and from what I have seen, even when the clear out of deleted orcancelled chars happen, that vendor will stay)

LoL I've always been terrified of letting my vendors get to 0 maintance (let alone 0 condition) so I've always tried to keep at least 50 days of maintance in them. At least with vendors you can always take the money back out if you need to change them later

I don't think that anyone in this thread is saying, "OMG my vendors are going to poof!". I think it is very important for everyone here to check their vendors if possible though with changes like this. We don't know what this really means and it is better to be safe than sorry.

I have recently given up my vendors for the sake of the dance, but people need to be careful here. I used to have my vendors sitting in my shop after I dropped merc, and they were working fine (maint was still in them). They have stopped as of last week. Not sure if that is connected with this or another recent publish.

I've always paid for my vendors, because I have an I'd rather be safe than sorry attitude. I didn't want to be caught withsome kind of stealth fix that made them go *poof*!

Me too. That and I like to play by how the rules are supposed to be even if things are broken so you don't have to pay attention to the rules.

I feel the same way. In fact I just finished dropping another 10k on all my vendors right before I had saw this post the other night. Always better safe than sorry.

Are you saying we didn't have to pay for our vendors all this time? I've blown a few mil easily on maintenance to vendors, not to mention that 500k greeter vendor with nothing on it that the devs poofed on me with my credits still in it.
Oh well, nothing new for me.

Heck, I was paying for a Bazaar Terminal vendor back in the early days when NPC vendors were free and terminal vendors cost a ton. Vendors nowadays are cheap!
