Thread: Question for tailors

Just a quick question for all you tailors. I was wondering if you can get bio-engineered enhancements into belts. I've never seen them, but they have them in bandoleers, so I was hoping they'd have them for belts too.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Right off the top of my head I can't think of a belt that uses syn cloth or rfp, the two items we can enhance with BE tissue. So I would have to say no on the BE belts. Sorry. 8(

Yes, shirts and things we can easily sew biological enhancements into. A belt, on the other hand, now that would just be silly and unrealistic. (=

Wookie gloves do not use synth cloth nor reinforced fiber panels, so they cannot be enhanced.

Hello All,

I'm trying to found out what is the max + Intimidatie / stun that can be put into clothing with the max number of sockets still available.

And also If any tailor on Valcyn can make these items

I would first check out the FAQ stickied at the top. Also check out TK Fashions Website to help pick out what you want to be BE enhanced.

Well first of all the actual buffs are either intimidate/war cry enhancement or stun/melee defense. It is not possible to get stun defense and intimidate enhancement on the same item of clothing using only BE enhancements (it could however be done with a proper skill tape containing one of those enhancements). You can, however, get both enhancements using multiple items of clothing, and can probably max out the buff in both if you use all 4 clothing slots. The clothing slots for these type of enhancements are pants, shirt, jacket/spec ops duster, and bandolier (but if you equip a bandolier you can't equip a backpack, so no extra storage). The maximum amount of sockets on any one clothing item is 4, though you may have a hard time finding a tailor willing to craft the redos usually required to get 4 sockets especially with BE tissues, or you may expect to pay a premium price for the service. (If you truely insist on having a 4 socket BE item of clothing, you might consider offering to provide the tailor with one or more crates of the BE enhancements you want to use.) The typical high end on these buffs varies from about +14 to +17 depending on the BE who makes the tissues (the tailor has no effect on these buffs). It is possible to find higher valued buffs, maybe as high as +20, if you're lucky and willing to pay for them. The only exception is the melee defense value of a melee/stun defense item. The melee value is pretty much always less than the stun value by about 1/3 or 1/4 with actual values of about +3 to +5 melee defense.

If you're willing to combine different items of enhanced clothes, there's no need to seek out a high enhancement value for every item. You max out at +25 for any single buff, so if, for example, you had a shirt with +15 intimidate/war cry, pants with +10 intimidate/war cry, a bandolier with +15 stun/+4 melee defense, and a spec ops duster with +10 stun/+3 melee defense would would have an outfit that maxes your intimidate and stun defense bonuses at +25 each (as well as giving you +25 war cry and +7 melee defense). If, however, what you're interested in is something that you can wear with a full suit of armor, then you would want a shirt with one buff (either war cry/intimidate or stun/melee defense) as high as you can find and a bandolier with the other enhancement as high as you can find.

The bio enhancement you speak of is put into cloth components, can't remember if it's reinforced fiber panel, or synth cloth. Anyway, it's not put in "sockets". "Sockets" are for skill tapes. We don't have, (atm), ANY control over how many sockets will by in a garment. Sometimes it's 1, sometimes 4. It's random..

Also, the bio tissue depends on the bio engineer, NOT the tailor. For examply, my bio gal can make +14 dancer/musicial enhancement. I can put one tissue in one synthcloth, so... If I make something like a skirt that takes 2 seperate synthcloths, I can make a skirt with +25 (it caps at 25) enhancement. Same for medical.

I THINK the max (think, don't know for sure, again-ask a bio engineer) on intimidate/warcry is going to be like 9-11. I know that defence vs melee max is like +4 max. That means at least 3 pieces to max out.

To complicate things, you can't use factory crate made items for this. Learned that the hard way. So, if you need 3 pieces of cloth to max out, you are hard pressed. Only a few things take three seperate pieces. This is where we have to get creative.

Finally, with articles like warcry.. you have to consider this. You can ONLY wear a shirt under armor. So, if you have an outfit that takes shirt and pants to be +25, consider that you won't be able to wear that AND armor, and weigh the advantages. +25 to warcry, or armor?

Anyway... for stats on bio tissue, ask a bio engineer.
