Thread: Tailor Inspirations

The Devs are currently looking for ideas on Inspirations that will be useful, but not *absolutely* necessary.

A couple of the ideas for Tailor that have been mentioned are:

Socket bonuses
Extended color palettes

So the question is, what are some benefits you can see as useful to you, but would not detract from you being a "whole Tailor" if you didn't have the Inspiration?

Thanks!

Here's the original thread if you wish to post there too.

If I could get an inspiration buff to guarantee sockets... @#$* YES! Where do I get in line?

I would rather have color palettes re-vamped than having it as abonus granted from an entertainer.. that's a bit much. No way would they effect my ability to make "yellow"... ahh.. yellow... REAL yellow.. that would be nice... or RED boots. *sigh* Why can't Tailor's get a revamp?

more sockets would be good as long as it doesn't make us totally dependant on ents to get 4 sockets.

I do not like the idea if pallettes though, those should be in the tailor revamp.

I like the idea of having buffs that add sparkling effects to clothes...

Well first off the Socket system needs to be fixed as it is.

An Amazing Assembly should always be 4 sockets, A great should be always 3 sockets, and so on.

Right now I can get Amazing Assemblies with anywhere from 0 to 4 sockets which doesn't make sense. At the same time I've had a few occasions of getting 4 sockets off a marginal assembly, which again makes no sense.

A Inspiration buff that would add to Assembly would be a nice thing. However thebonus should be low, around what Pyollian Cake would give you, but perhaps it could stack with Cake. However as I said I feel that the sockets need revising within Tailor itself.

I do not believe color pallettes should be dependent on another profession. Color pallette should be more intregal to our profession.

how about master tailors who can "dye" existing clothing items and change their color? this would be super sweet for jedi robes.

that idea would be amazing the only thing is jedi robes arnt tradeable and you cant drop them in your house only the bank which to me is a shame i would love a dif colour robe bloody wellies a new colour those boots look like they just came off a horse lol they definatly need to be able to change colour.

what would be good aswell is now and again when crafting clothes make it so you get an item found in the crafting devise like say maybe a schem for a special type of clothing or a token for a schem that you collect to say maybe make night sister clothes for females and a certain type of clothing for the men, but only with these tokens like they do with shipwrite for the KSE tokens you need 8 of them to get a schem for the firespray, so make it like that were you have to collect 8 tokens for these schems i mean come on ustailors need some loving atm we aint selling anything ppl want enhanced clothes and we cant make them so at least let us make something fun

I could go for the inspiration increasing the ability to get higher sockets, but I deffinately do NOT want that to be a requirement to get the 4 sockets.

As for the color pallette, I would rather have that included in the tailor revamp as well.

I posted in the big thread, and I'll post here (briefly) that I think color palettes are so essential to tailoring that it would make the buffs absolutely necessary, just as skill tapes are necessary for other crafting professions now, in order to compete in the market. Otherwise, a tailor would have to be buffed at all times to be considered "fully functional."

If the buff's guaranteed 4 sockets every time... I'm all for it.. *gets out her pom-poms*

If it's the only way to get sockets, no. Just as a bonus to guarantee 4, it would be fabulous, since it's so random and completely fracking annoying atm.

Red Leather, but yeah maybe it would be stupid to have to have an inspiration buff for that. Guaranteed 4 sockets would be sweet, Maybe even being able to edit tiny details if we're inspired (Like the part of the light bustier that's never been customizable) etc..

No way, don't restrict the color pallett, even if its an add on you restrict, I just hate that idea.

More sockets would be nice, and wouldn't make me angry.

YES the ability to change the color of a current item would rock! I bet a few people with "uber" outfits would welcome the change

Would be neat tho if anyone could change the color, but might ditract from tailor, but hey anyone can change the color of a bike or droid.. would be neat if other users could change the color of their own clothing.

I loved that time we could change our armor color!
