Thread: Armor Padding and the CURB
I'm not sure if this a bug or working as intended. I figured, I'd bring it to your attention just in case it has gone un-noticed thus far.

Either way doesn't matter to me.. I just think it's lame to nerf tailors like that
I'd actually prefer if stats didn't matter so I can use my recycler to combine chunks of hide instead of using up good quality hides.

Oddly enough, experimentation never mattered to Tailors until they added the Armor Padding. Yes, we had experimentation early on, but there was no decay so it was pointless. Not having to worry about stats is nice in a way; you could almost say they would Unnerf us by renerfing it.
(Either experimentation should matter for everything we do or they should drop it. Having one item where experimentation matters slightly is pointless.)

I have to agree with that... Though I wonder if anyone has ever tried a Master Tailor / Master Combat Medic before the CU took out the CM expermination, as when you read the description on Clothing Experimenation it says that it'd help a Combt Medic, hehe.
I personally would like to be able to experiment on sockets... Might just be who I hang with, but I get a lot of requests for 4 sockets, and that's usually added ontop of BE mods... Or have sockets dependant on a mod - from the limited testing I've done, it doesn't seem to take any stat into consideration.

So experimentaion in armor padding still makes no difference?
That's what I've been trying to find out. I have had different answers but so far, 3 AS's have told me that unlike before, the wook pillow stats do not affect the overall outcome of the armor. Prior to CU it was not only the experimentation but also something like integrity?? I forget exactly that helped. Now theyare saying the pads have no affect on the final product.
I'm so lost on this one. ![]()
While theexperimentation bars are still there during the armor padding crafting process, there are no stats listed to experiment on. Post CU, I've used both experimented armor padding and padding where I skipped experimentation and when straight to making the schematic. The armor turned out the same using both. So
1) Experimentation does not affect armor padding.
2) The quality of the hides used does not affect the padding. Use whatever junk you can get a bunch of.

Exactly what I was told by an AS as well, so i will now stock and craft AP for any AS who asks for it.![]()
