Thread: Tailoring FAQ and other useful stuff (Holo Tailors check here first)
In an effort to clean up the sticky threads, I'm going to combind a whole bunch of these together and make one big thread. Feel free to add to and I'll update it.
- What do I grind to get to Master Tailor?
Stock up on Fiberplast and Steel. Make Ribbed Shirts until you get Field Wear 4. Then grind Cartridge Belts, which take Inert Petrochemicals, Steel, and Metal.

- How do I make and use Bio-Engineer clothes?
Components made by Bio-Engineers are used to add points to some skill mods. You use them in making Synthetic Cloths and Reinforced Fiber Panels. Then you use those enhanced components to make Bio-Engineered clothes. When the clothing is equipped you gain the modifiers.
- What should I charge for Bio/regular clothes?
That is up to you. The more resources the items take, the more you charge. I charge about 2k per item. 3k for all Tier 4 items, and 10k for Master Items. Bio clothes sell for about 10k-20k each depending on how good a mod they give. It tends to vary from server to server and planet to planet. http://zachary.org/swg/ has a price calculator that allows you to plug in different resource costs and generates a price list.

Very nice job!!
I would like to add that not all the BE tissues stack, so maybe add a disclaimer there, when you use 2 factory made BE cloth in an item it does not stack.
You may also want to add that Bothans/Rodians and other species can all NOW wear the grand healers robe. When I first started tailoring, I could not wear it, but now I can!! HOORAY.. took me a while to realize I could actually wear this item as there was no announcement or fanfair.
Nice work and keeps everything nicely concise and in one spot.
Can my wedding site go there or is it strictly tailoring? Maybe I need to make a tailoring site for myself... nah.. too much work.
"You can edit!!! Jealousy!!!"
It's a good thing too, the boards hate me.All that "pretty" formatting took me about10 tries.
You might want to add some advice on macroing, because that's a very common question.
"You might want to add some advice on macroing, because that's a very common question."
Good idea, I was thinking about that too. I'll try and work on that this weekend.
In case people are having trouble accessing SWGTailor, you might have to reset your favorites. If you have you are beingdirected to a zero.xa.net addy, please use www.swgtailor.com in the address field of your web browserand you'll be directed to an address that's working correctly.
Hope to see some of you there!
