Darn tapestries are selling on my server for 6000 credits on the bazaar no less.
I didn't buy a factory and aquire 80,000 fiberplast 30,000 metal and 25,000 polymer just to make 6000 credits for the darn things.
It really burns me up... ticks me off ... I am just angry. I am not making one more of those things and will destroy the schems people give me, remove the factory and pretend they don't exist. I am tired of being in a profession that has NO value to this game what-so-ever.

I too bought a factory and it frustrated me as well when I heard aboutthe samehappening on my server... However, I really only made them for my guildmates and did not plan to make a huge profit... But you have a very valid point something that is supposed to be "special" to the tailors is generally too easy to aquire and therefore will lose value after a period of time...
This is a very rapid thing that happened with the banners. But look at the crafter's aprons and the leathers that are needed for them. It used to be that an apron cost around 500k credits depending on type and server. Leathers costing 5k-50k each depending on similar circumstances and now I have to turn down offers at times because I just do not have the storage space.
But we shouldn't let these loot items be a burden on us... We make clothes and we make clothes to look good and to make players/toons look good, this is our primary task. I think the biggest problem when involving Tailors in the loot system is that we are, as a profession, extremely underestimated by whoever is in charge. We get little credit for the dedication thatI see in most tailors.
I have no solution, but you did make me think... And don't thinkTailors have no value to the game, we are just largely underappreciated by the loot gods.

I just wouldn't have made 1000 of them, I would have made like 100 instead and give them to people. But using all the resources only to make 6000 off each one is not what I had in mind. I am not angry anymore but I'm sure not gonna jump on the "loot" bandwagon in the future. Sometimes I really wish the bazaar was just there for advertising player shops and player cities.
In regards to aprons, I still sell my medical one fairly high because I cannot get the schematic.

At least the good thing is that they don't take a huge amount of resources each so you can still make some sort of profit. The bad thing for me is that now I have a factory that is stuck using one of my lots until I can get rid of some tapestries. Anyway, in the end I figured that they would end up being little trinkets that people can buy for a few thousand credits each.

I'm not ticked off anymore... but I am gonna settle on selling them for 10,000 credits on my vendor, and if they sell they sell if they don't they don't. I am gonna remove the factory though and give away as many crates as possible. If I make another run, I'll do just 500.

Tapestries are taking exactly the same path as the Bestine paintings: expensive the first few days, 6000 thereafter as more people get their factories running. Pretty much what I was expecting to see. They'd be more expensive for longer if they were dropped by something less popular than the Tuskens. (If you haven't noticed, there's a nice permanent spawn of them in NW Tatooine. 
I was unable to get in on that first wave, but I have some now. We'll see if I can pick up a few expensive sales this weekend before dropping the price down.

Arg, tell me about it. I've got two factories full of stuff for the crafting items that my buddies have found for me, and I sell maybe one a month. There was an auction recently on the Intrepid Trade Forum where a bunch of them went for 50-100K each. (One hit 250K.)
Supply and demand.

Tapestries on my server is selling for a lot. My friend sold about five of them for 250K each.

Wow! Mine were selling for 30K for awhile but they have stopped selling.

The thing about these schematics are that there's an endless supply of them. You can loot them over and over again very rapidly so they become widespread very quickly and the value of the product crashes. All the people who paid hundreds of thousands of credits are kicking themselves already.
I think giving us the tapestry was just the devs throwing tailors a bone anyway. Most of the new schematics are for architects and that could easily have been as well.

Well they sell for 5k each on my server. I did one factory run of 500, gave some to my guild members, sold few and the rest are sitting in the factory.

When i did a planet search for tapestry vendors last night I only found one on Naboo ... didn't bother checking other planets. That vendor was selling them for 5k each. I was a little shocked since they were selling for 25-50k for a while. So I set up my vendor, plopped about 50 on there (i also made the mistake of making 1000 of them) priced them at 10k and now i'm sitting back waiting for a miracle. I gave them free to the Guild, and a few select friends, and I don't think 10k is a huge amount of money for the Tapestry (I ran 3 buff sessions at Ft Tuskan before I finally got the schematic, bought a factory because I couldn't find one to borrow, and bought large amounts of metal just for this factory run). I'm not going to lower prices if they don't sell like hotcakes ... I think mostly because I am holding onto the hope that we are going to get more schems for other planets - and if that happens they will sell more readily (most people NEED a full set LOL)

Well, here we are a few days later. And while a bit frustrating that I am not selling any of these banners, I am very happy about a few thins. First, I know exactlt where we stand with this new loot, it is an uncommon drop but can be factory run so it will not be in huge demand. Second, regarding this demand these tapertries will not be a major time sink or distraction from regular tailoring. Lastly, this craze isn't going to last nearly as lonmg as the hoodes cloak! 
Also, Chiana, I am very happy you are not ticked off anymore
