Thread: Jedi Tailor (read it to figure it out)

Hi, I am a Jedi, I have been a Jedi for some time now and I have decided to give it up and become a force-sensitive crafting mastery Tailor......(please hold the laughter to a dull roar)

Any advice in my new career away from the glits and gunfire of the Bounty Hunters?

As far as we know of, FS crafting bonuses don't do squat for tailors. So my advice is…become an armorsmith.

As far as I can tell, the only things that might be effective is your assembly skill when using tissues and you can get a few more successes when making wookiee pillows (armor padding). You also might get a repair bonus, but I never got to check that.

*yay* now I know not to bother unlocking my jedi. The force-sensitive crafting was the only bit I was interested in but if it won't help me as a tailor I'll save myself the work

Yep, you're better off getting enough clothing tapes to hit +20 assembly and +20 experimentation - less frustration involved, same benefits.

Even more benefit because you get the 2 experimentation points in the wookiee pillow. I don't think you get that if you are force sensitive.

It's my understanding that force sensetivity does not give you more experimentation points; it only increases your chance of having a high-level success. In other words, it's like being constantly liquored up on Bespin Port. (Hey, now there's a FS description I never thought I'd say…it's like being loaded, all the time!)

wait a sec, I had heard though that "force sensitive crafters" don't get an experimentation bonus, I thought they had scrapped plans to do that.

Truth be told, I have no idea how it actually got implemented in the end. As I said, that was simply my understanding of it. While TC2 is still up, and I still have 4 flagged toons, I don't really have the materials available to me to do any kind of real testing on this. Sorry.

Well, there is still an experimentation tree for force sensitive crafters, so it *looks* like they gave them something. I think that what they finally decided is what Syzygy decribed. It is like being permanently drunk on port in a research city.

Yea. My guess is that like port (and possibly research cities) that it doesn't have much of an effect.

Research cities make a big difference. All in all, it will be useful, bit not very much so. It will be much easier to get an amazing success with it. But yeah that's about it really.
