Dang. Those are some pretty nifty looking boots. I wish I could make a pair because I'd love to be able to wear them.

I suggested rare wearable non-craftable loot some time ago, maybe this is the start of it?

Yeah.. I wish they would add some hard to make boots/gloves etc at higher rankings... those would fit the bill

Talk of boots reminds me: I retract an earlier observation - I now note that there are tailor schematics that require a private crafting staion. Thermal boots from Casual III are complexity 28, which I find odd since nothing else is over 25. *Shrugs*

Well the boots didn't vanish which is certainly a plus also came across a rather odd looking robe which I've seen in NPCs before but is simply labeled 'Robe' although it has a description this time. I'm wondering if they have loaded a number of new clothes into the database in preperation for expanding the tailors range but haven't fully implemented them yet hence they're appearing as looted items.

I'm actually hoping for some kind of system where boots like that (and other clothes) can be found and given to a tailor who can "create schematic" the item (destroying it), but the tailor can then produce the item for sale and profit.

Also, those boot are Cool Moe D.

I'm also hoping for this kind of system, not just for new types of clothing, but also for those bright colors everyone misses so much from the tailoring tree.

I just looted what appeared to be at first glance a typical boot from a plainfolk I killed (something i do alot of ) and as i was about to delete it something caught my eye. They were simply caleld 'boots' not hide, nor wrapped nor uniform but just 'boots'. So i opened the examine window for them and as expected they are slightly damaged but the odd thing is they are silver and have utterly no description for them. And when i say silver i mean, these things really shine. At first i thought it might be a slightly bugged uniform boot but when i compared them with the white white of uniform boots i have they are very different in design.

Needing an expert opinion on this i went to see Rosewind (Ahazi server, Naboo) and asked her to look at them. I put them on and she certainly didnt recognise them, i then tried to trade them so she could have a closer look. At first we thought that the trade window kept crashing because she had a dancing macro running but as it turns out the boots were the ones which were crashing it. So these cannot be traded. Given how utterly rare this is I didnt want to put them into the vendor since they might vanish or something but I figured I'd tell you folks as this is a real oddity.

Here's a screenshot of them, i made it just incase they vanish when i log back in cause I want another pair if they do. http://c4software.net/img/new_boots.jpg

Has anyone else come across totally new clothing which tailors cannot make?

What about those pocketed vests that scouts start with...I haven't seen those anywhere in the list of tailor schematics...are they not called vests? I've got casual 1-4 which covers most of the items with the name "vest" in them...maybe I'm blind, but I don't remember seeing a single "vest" in field or formal.

The quality of the JPG isn't high enough to be sure, but they look like they could be either HQ boots or even a light grey uniform boots. Hard to tell.

I wouldn't be suprised though. There are quite a few items out there that no tailor can make.

Yah jason you're right, those pocketed vests can't be tailor made. I submitted it as a bug in beta, but now that i'm seeing more and more unique clothing I'm begining to believe its intenional.

They look like "High Quality Boots", not sure though. I've seen people with looted stuff I can't make before (not just colors), like the 'Robe' you mentioned (our 'Robe' is sleeveless, this was sleeved).

JasonTilton: There are vests in Formal, but the only one I know offhand is the Decorative vest which definately isn't the Scout vest. I havent actually thought about it before, so not sure if it can be made but all the other noob clothes can...

They are definitely different then the high quality or uniform boots.

I've run into a few of the pocketed vests. It's always fun trying to explain when they want a color of it to match their pants how I can't make it. Almost as fun as getting asked to make orange fighter suits. Grrrrr.... Speaking of I should probably bump the color thread again.
