Thread: Any Tailors changes with the latest patch?
I only got on for a few hours since the last big publish and didn't see anything new and exciting happening for tailors, was wondering if anyone had noticed anything?
One thing...CSRs will be handing out Wookiee Life Day robes to random Wookiees. I just wanna know how come CSRs get to make nicer wookiee stuff than tailors. ![]()
After all the screaming we've done for better stuff...why would they hand them out like that? Why wouldn't they let tailors have the pleasure?
Thats ok, I love how the Exotic Leotard is still under the Dress catagory even though imho it doesn't resemble anything like a dress.
And while we're talking about things listed in odd places lets talk about the smock. I think this is the best kept simple fashion solution for guys who don't want to bother with a lot of clothes. For those of you who don't know this little piece of clothing, when worn (male only) it looks like a belted closed trench coat. Worn with the special edition goggles it can give a guy a rather Neo-like look. But do you know where it's listed? Under the Dress catagory. Go figure.
Yeah, the way clothes sort is one of my biggest pet peeves.
Personally I thik that the dress catagory should be reserved for dress/robes that are female only and that the "robe" catagory should be used for the unisex/male only robes.
The other thing I find weird is that the cloak, the special-ops duster, and the gunman's duster and in three different catagories... can't figure out why that is.
And so on for other categories, though I haven't figured out the rhyme or reason for some of them yet (such as why Spec-Ops Duster is a jacket, and Gunman's Duster is a Robe, or what functionally distinguishes Jacket from Robe, to be more precise.)
The item names don't necessarily have any relation whatsoever to the programmer's category names, which thus leads to confusion.
There definitely *is* an underlying logic to it, the problem is that it doesn't do *us* a whole lot of good. Though, that said, it's not completely useless either. If you understand the categories, you'd know that, since it's listed as a "Dress," you can't wear an undershirt with a Smock, etc.

Yeah Sue, I understand the "programmer logic" behind it. It's probably the same reason that the long gloves were orginally in the misc catagory and not the handwear catagory.... but they changed those to be more intuitive... hopefully they'll do the same with some of the other things.
well you are correspondant...you could actually lobby for the changes...
because nothing will get done if you dont...
it would take us 1/2 hour to do up a list and it would then take them about the same amount of time tomake the database changes....
but we can just stand around and just hope instead
