I have a similar setup. The only thing you can do is ban the guy from your structure. If you wanted to go further you could ban his customers as you see them come browse your shop and leave to buy from him.
Selling inside someone else's shop is just stupid. It takes some mighty big brass ones to do that in front of a shop owner. I'd say there's not much you can do except ban him, and try and outsell him. Beat his prices, talk to his customers, whatever it takes. Either that or move your shop. It all depends how far you want to go. This other tailor obviously has no couth.
The funny thing about this is... I do beat his prices... and mine are clearly listed, too... And the customer was a guildie of my partner, so... It's like triply wrong. ![]()

Personally, I'd ban any tailor and customer I found doing this…but I'm an evil b'stard.
Oh yeah, I'd do that too. I meant to do the signs/barking for FUTURE customers. These smacktards totally deserve a big fat ban.

Ruthless! Smacktards!? LOL, haven't heard that expression since I played Battlefield 1942 ![]()
Oh and yes, a good banning will do, and what n'Jessi suggested. Adbarking, signs, use the lines of your house name. Whatever it takes.

I use a medium tat house as a shop and display area. There is another tailor in my city, who as far as I know, has all their vendors set up in the very cluttered mall. Since my shop is across the main square from the mall, and we are both listed on the map, I can guess that they get some ppl who have browsed my displays. But, my prices beat them mostly, even on the BE stuff (and we both have BE hubbies).
I also rotate out my displays from time to time, putting the shop items on the vendor and making new things in different colors. Also, one wall that is seen as you walk was a display I changed by the month - seasonal, you know.... hmmm, time to dig out the orange and black again (long live the pumpkin king headwrap!)
