Well, I know it's not proven or anything, but my clothing assembly +25 suit does seem to give me 4 sockets more often. Somtimes, anyway.. lol

Hehe. I am also 'superticious' about socket making.

After being used to getting good 4 sockets results im my home city, and then visting another city and having the hardest time getting them, I always tend to craft in the same place. I know there is nothing really to it, and just crazy ol' me.

But just as advice, don't worry about it too much. Think about the item you are crafting. I often have so much fun crafting an item (naming the colours etc) that I sometimes forget to even check how many sockets were made.

It's all a matter of holding your mouth right as you are making the item

seriously tho - it's random and it sucks imo - I have good days and bad days.

Been wondering about the randomness. It *is* proven that artisan clothing gets 4 sockets more frequently for tailors with the engineering/master artisan branches, right? Thetrackable difference there is assembly mods. Wouldn't it then make senseif the assembly mods in tailor workin a similarfashion?

(And yes, I am aware that an "amazing success" is not neccesarily the same as a 4 socket item, andno, I havn't tested this yet. I'm picking upone box of force assembly anyway though)

I have an assembly mod in a top that I wear when I craft (think its 25, might be a 20) - and I wear my nifty tailoring apron as well - have not noticed a difference. have used good resources, and whatever came to hand, no noticeable difference. (and would prefer never to have to worry about resource quality, thank you)

imo, the random number generator needs to have some tweaks in it to account for the whole being a MASTER of my profession. As in, MASTER tailors should get 3 and 4 sockets most of the time and 2 sockets once in a while. never a 0 and very rarely a 1.

Every tailor has different opinions about the +25 clothing assembly suit working or not. I've noticed dramatic changes in getting 4 sockets when I have my suit on. Out of 27 items that I made, 21 of them were 4-sockets. I think the +25 clothing assembly works, but that's just me... as some tailors don't believe they work.

I did some tests before the CU showing that assembly tapes had an effect, but I haven't been able to check to see if this is still true. The only thing that I *know* has an effect is that if you absolutely need 4 sockets it will take a lot of tries to get it. When I am just sitting round restocking the vendors I get 4 sockets all the time!

Hehehe, you're right. :-p That reminds me when I need something, I can't find it; when I don't need something, I always see it.

Momo, I recently madea 21-piece clothing order for Raina, all 4 sockets. I've only had to make a total of 27 items to get all the 4-socket 21 pieces. /Shrug

Hahaha! Yes, 4 sockets almost always show up when you don't want them, and never show up when you need them. I'll be making a regular custom order for someone and end up gettinga bunchwith 4 sockets, when all I want is any other amount of sockets since I charge more for 4 socket ones. lol Speaking of which, I think some sort of bug occured to me today. I was making an Ithorian Religious Cap for an order (trying to get a non-4 socket one) and made a total of 9 before one came out with less than 4. I wasn't wearing my suit or using a good crafting station/tool or anything. It was.. weird.

And as for the tapes, I haven't done a formal test, but I do get a lot of 4 sockets sometimes when I'm wearing them. But then again, sometimes the mods don't seem to do anything at all. I can definitely say that the mods don't hurt, though.
