Thread: Sockets have got to be fixed asap

The socket problem is really annoying. I started with a crate of 25 melee defense RFP, it took me 18 tries before getting 4 sockets! I was soooo annoyed! That is with +5 force assembly, my crafters aprons and a total of +18 to tailoring assembly! It's rediculous.

I agree 100%. *Master* tailors ought to know how to get 4 sockets into our clothing nearly all of the time! Crit failures on assembly to cause us to get 0-3 are fine but when being told assembly was a 'Great Success' and only getting 1-2 sockets is a joke (and a really bad joke at that).

I am anoyed by it a lot. Having great or amazing success only to get 1 or 2 sockets.

I hear a lot about this problem, but I can't really relate since I very often get 3-4 sockets and it doesn'teven take me 5 tries before i get a four socketed garment. I guess SOE loves me more

I agree sockets need to be fixed ASAP!!!!!
I made 50 pair of leather gloves yesterday and not 1 had 4 sockets! It is ridiculously frustrating!

I'm convinced that sometimes logging out and logging back in helps if you're having a bad streak of sockets.

That is why the problem needs to be looked into.
I know the devs mentioned something about fixing minor profession bugs or addressing small problems for each profession and this (sockets)would seem like something they could work on without affecting much else in the tailoring profession. I don't remember where I read it but I thought of the socket problem as maybe being something they could look into, rather than new schematics or color pallettes. They just said something about small changes that would make the professions better... before the profession revamps.

I believe that leather gloves are Artisan level clothing and require something like Engineering 4 or above to get 4 sockets. Unless you have that Artisan skill, you will never get 4 sockets on any Artisan level clothing even if you're a Master Tailor. Very annoying as I don't have it, and I have to pass on requests for 4 socketed Artisan clothes. Master Tailor should override this aspect of Artisan crafting for clothing items.
I have made them in the past with 4 sockets.

This issue has been screamed about since they nerfed our ability to make 4 socket items nearly every time. Hopefully they will change it back, but i do recall them being adamant that they wont. However a lot has changed, and i do hope they will fix this when they get around to tailor changes.
Till then i guess every post like this helps that little bit in getting a point accross

I think that absolute worst part about the socket issue is that its entirely random. Even if it became an experimental thing. Whatever. Either give it to me free, or give me a way to knowingly improve it.

I agree completely! It's especially frustrating when someone wants you to try over and over to get the 4 socketed item and offers to pay you full price for each try. People arepreparing for the combat revamp and wantas many sockets as they can get. I'll try 4 times and try to explain tothe customer how it works.
But I swear that lately it's been harder to get those 4 sockets! I've been master tailor since October and this is the worst run I've ever had.
