Thread: Was anyone elses day as crazy as mine?

I wake up, at 3pm log on SWG to find out everything new is available!
I run off 400 black hooded cloaks, 250 white hooded cloaks and start advertising
then I get the custom emails pouring in for extremely reveiling skirts, metal bikinis and those Grand Mayoral Robes
400 Hide for winged Hot pants?! Not going to be making any of those soon!
Has been non stop for 8 hours and all I can say is .... wow what a rush!
this patch definatly put some life into tailor today, hopefully it will stay that way.
Good luck everyone, start running off crates of subcomponents when you get a break, you will need them lol!

LOL yes! it was total madness. i sold well over 300 black cloaks, about 200 white and "jedi brown", 100+ assorted color extremely revealing skirts ect ect ect. my vendor was wiped out, and people were buying stuff from the bazaar as i was loading it. i found that modeling the new cloaks with diff outfits underneath helped sell old style clothing as well. i finally had to quit7 hours later due to the fact i TOTALLY ran out of hide. somthing i never would have thought would happen 
My factories were smokin' today to say the least. great fun. i feel sorry for the shipwrights when space goes live. we felt today 1/100th of what they are going to get hit with

Pretty similar with armorsmith too. Spent the evening making the new Ithorian Defender armor which is the same as composite. Ran myself blind damn near. Also, Shipwright is already available as well, just need Engineering 4 and away you go. My guildmates have been quite busy with this new Tailor stuff though.

I had to laugh really! I am a fairly new master tailor and there are several on Corbantis who have ALL the business wrapped up *cough cough* hehe. I usually sell maybe 10-15 items a week and I work very hard at cruising starports and cantinas just to get name recognition and sell a few items. Anyway, i logged on and made a few hooded cloaks, a couple Ithy things and some Halloween costumes with the new shenatics. Left my shop and within the hour all of it sold of my shop vendor!! Blew my mind really
People must have been hitting every tailor shop in the area (I am by 3 major established tailors)!

I never thought I'd see $1million in a day as a wondering tailor, but I saw that plus some today. I was on from server up to down (yeah, it's sad, but I was having too much fun!) and didn't have more than a few minute's break the whole time. Although...if I have one more person ask for a black cloak I might scream.

I'm also a new Master Tailor on Corbantis, about a week now. I sell around 50 -60k of clothing a week. Last night I made 460k in abour 4 hours. 
I didn't rip off people or did any advertising. It wasall through /tels. I got an order for 10 Cloak's the second I logged on.

I think the "sl*t skirts" as I lovingly call them will grow old fast. I walked into a room of girls in them today wearing a cloaked dress, and was complimented. I guess originality pays off even in the middle of a fad.

This Renaissance of the Tailor profession reminds me of what the Creature Handler Mounts were like. I wish I was a tailor so I could get in on the fun!

I made about 200k yesterday just making the Hooded cloaks and selling them for 5k each. I had people ordering 6 or 7 at a time. I had 4 crafting tools running almost constantly for three hours. If I had not had a meeting to go to (Cub Scout leader) I would have made 5X that. When I logged in, I made ten Hooded cloaks and dropped them in my Guild's PA for my Guildies. Made one for my self and ran into Coronet near the Star Port. I couldn't reply to people before I got a Tell from someone else. I had to go hide to finish the orders Ialready had.
What are you guys and gals selling your Hooded Cloaks for? I had one guy (Master Jedi) offer me 50k each but I told him I was only asking 5k. He bought four and tiped me 100k.

A guy gave me 100k for one in Mos Eisley. I told him I'm selling them for 8k. He refused to give me any less, so I excepted. One guy said he would give me 1k for one, so I told him that I sell the old one for 4k so 1k is a bit low for the new one, so it's 8k. He ranted on at me saying ' whats the big deal, whats so special about them anyway'. I asked him why he was talking to me and arguing over the price. He swore at me and then ran off, asking people to duel him.

Why is it that the most annoying customers always run around asking everyone to duel them?

Because of a party that I had to go to, I could only play for about an hour yesterday and I *still* went through more than a crate of black hooded cloaks (thats the color everyone wants). I also sold a ton of other clothes since people are more interested in clothes in general since the patch.

last night was a living hell!! (fun but HELL!)
It's normally bad enough for me, but I hand made close to 60 skirts, 220 robes and a few ithorian items plus trying to restock my BE vendor. All while trying to deal with insane tell hell (yeah I want a hooded robe in bright blue, bright red and oooh hot pink ...oh and can I have melee/stun def in those please...oh and i need em right now!!.....oh and i NEED 4 sockets in em! *rollseyes*) and a constantly bleeping e-mail.
Oh and the HORRIBLE latency was making hand crafting such a pain I gave up hand crafting robes after the first couple of hundred (cmon people wear something more original!!!) and went and threw 3 factory runs in (black white and dark brown..yes mr gunbunny they DO have 4 sockets *sigh*)
I dont think i've ever felt so wasted when i crawled off to bed in the very early hours as i did from those 9 hours of non stop crafting!
I LOVE tailoring 8D!!!
oh winged hawtpants rock (until i saw the res requirements.....OUCHIE!!! HOW much hide?)
PS dear "friends" please DONT abuse the /findfriend option as You turning up on the doorstep of my supposedly private retreat (despite me sending you my stores WPs in an e-mail and politely asking on my AFK that all orders are e-mailed as i'm just up to my eyes) and asking me for "teh 4 soket blak hooded cloke plz" will just result in your being denied entry and a swift /addignore and removal from my "friends" list if you continue to annoy me....(unless Your a hot female twi'lek that is 8D )
