Edit: Getting to the point buried below; the website allows full customization of color selection, with a preview. Just click on the "Select Colors" link under any picture to bring up a palette display that should be familiar to most tailors. Clicking on colors in the palette modify them in the preview.
There is more that could be done; there always is. But I've done what I've seen on no other tailor website. A long time ago when Clarin left tailoring and took down Graceful Clothiers, I took up the challenge of making a better tailoring website. I had some ideas, and absolutely no clue how to do it. I also wasn't a tailor at the time, so was having to trade screenshots with a tailor I knew, and it was slow and difficult to work with.
For those of you who recall (Do a search if you don't) Graceful Clothiers closed it's dores in October. This project of mine has been sitting idle for awhile.
Finally inspiration struck, and a eureka moment Behold the results, the new Catalog of Fashions by TK.
What's it got?
Select the criteria of clothes to list based on where it goes, who can wear it, price range, and even what enhancements it can take.
See a preview of what the modifiers granted by enhancements will look like.
All current regular tailored items, as well as special items that don't look like anything else, such as the crafter's apron. (Necklaces coming soon.)
Fully interactive palettes for every item. Select a color and see a preview of what the item will look like in that color.
Previews available of all possible color combinations. (4228250625 different previews possible on the reinforced pullover alone, but that's okay, it's balanced by the long uniform jacket with 12 previews possible.)
Color accurate ordering. No more trying to describe the color. Each color is uniquely identified by a color code.
Is that not the coolest thing?
For those curious on the color codes (I'm sure many people will be sending their customers here to pick out clothes
. Already have one tailor saying they'll be doing as such.) it's real simple to associate the color code with a color. The color code consists of a number and a letter, such as 2A.
For most palettes, the number is the color group, starting at 1, counting across and then down. The darkest shade then is A, ranging up to D, H, or P as appropriate for the lightest shade. (The dress robe palette and two-strap bandolier palette assumes the missing last color is A so the last row really starts with B, and the first row in the dress robe palette is still A-P despite the different shade appearing as the very first color.)
There are two exceptions to this. The long formal jacket only has 16 colors, so it's just a number. (Really it only has 12 unique colors, but the palette has 16.) It's not that hard to count to 16.
The other exception is the cloth palette. If you look at the cloth palette, you'll notice that, for the most part, there are 6 colors, 7 variations of those colors, 6 shades per variation. This goes in groups from most washed out to most vivid. The order is Red, Orange, Yellow (Yeah I know it's barely a yellow but work with me here), Green, Blue, and Purple. So the cloth palette is a number 1-7, for which group of the colors it is from, then a letter for the color, R, O, Y, G, B or P, then a letter for the shade, again A is darkest, G is lightest. The last 3 colors (4 if we ever get the final color) are just a number (7) and a letter (P, R or O). As an example, white is 2RG, the true black is 3RA and the green-black is 1RA, while the lightest shade of yellow-orange is 6OG.
If there are more than one color, the color code is a list of codes in the order they appear in the crafting window. If there is a bugged color (Most bodysuits, light bustier, etc) or colors that don't exist (Simple waist wrap first color) they are ignored. Under this system, the default color for hawtpants can be described as "1PA4RA".
The system is designed to be easily used without having to sit there counting out boxes. With the exception of the dress robe - there's no way around counting em out on that one.
If it confuses you, play around with it and see what the code is. If someone comes to you with a code and you can't figure out what it should be, or want to verify it, try getting the code on the website, then match the color selection in-game.
I may be able to be talked into adding alternate color-naming if there is something popularly used.

Nice job! Most have been a real pain but I think It's worth it...The color codes are a great idea since i often have to make several clothes with almost the same color before my costumers are satisfied.

That's really cool Tiaga!
I just wanna know how you got the items to change color. You can't possibly have taken screenies of all the color combinations. Great work!

Bloody hell, Tiaga, that site is absolutely amazing. A tad big on the downloads, but amazing. I will no longer have to fear what color combinations to ask of tailors and I can start spending more money on clothing now. Yay!
I know it's already been asked, but you didn't take one screenshot for each color combination, did you? Please say you found an easier way.
