Here is an idea that I am toying around with for when I make Master Tailor. I will go on a tour of planets with everything I need to make any item. Here are the Kit contents:

1 Rifle (You just never know)
1 Mineral Survey Tool (Since you are on a new planet, might as well check for rare resources)
1 Chemical Survey Tool (See above)
1 Personal Mineral Extractor (Since you found rare resources, might as well harvest a bit while on planet)
1 Personal Chemical Extractor (See above)
1 10k+ Fiberplast
1 5k+ Polymer
1 5k+ Steel
1 1k+ Aluminum
1 1k+ Copper
1 500 Thoranium Steel (Bounty Hunter Packs)
1 500 Titanium Aluminum (Spec-Ops Packs)
1 2k+ Woolly Hide
1 10k+ Energy (Any Type)
8 8 Crates Synthetic Cloth
2 2 Crates Reinforced Fiberplast Panels
2 2 Crates Metal Fasteners
2 2 Crates Fiberplast Panels
2 2 Crates Shoe Soles
2 2 Crates Trim
2 2 Crates Cargo Pockets
- Various high demand items for quick deals and demos

You would need to have at least 2 lots free and all yourbuilding's maintenance paid for as long as youll be gone or redeed everything.

I am planning to take all my buildings down with the exception of my shop (I will change the sign name to reflect my vagabond status). I will carry my 2 wearables factoriesin the kit as well as a small generic house. This way I am not tied down to any particular area. I am neutral so it will be easy to visit every major city. I expect to remain in a city for 2 days or so and move on.

Any feedback would be welcome and appreciated.

great idea. Don't think you need a rifle in there. they'll likely have a better one. how much you going to charge for this? Minimum 100K right? There's your problem, who can afford it? I'd scale it down and offer it to newer tailors. Higher level tailors will already have much of what you're offering. Besides, you can sell nearly all resources at 3cpu, so it would have to be worth it to you.

You're missing one wonderfully useful thing, though. You also need a trusty little droid with a clothing crafting station module!

I currently have a traveling crafting kit and I love it. It allows me to make anything for anyone at anytime. I also have a droid with a crafting station and storage module in it so I can keep extra crates in it. I suggest that every tailor should make a traveling kit.

You left out jewelry settings and i think youll need more trim than that and less shoe soles and fiberplast panels. Unless you dont do any fancy womens clothing? And yes you definitely need a droid with a crafting station in it . ) Also gemstones. Two kinds. And some iron, and naboo bristley hide. And some of that wooly should be tat wooly. lol theres so many things >< Anyway, good luck )

I find having a non-CH pet is helpful too ... I call it out when I am out in the wilds. My harvestors always seem to attract red npc spawns

I bought some huge cat like creature for 20k and Fluffy has saved my bacon more than once!

Benj,I believe you have misinterpreted my post. This kit isnt for sale its just an idea for you think about.

I do have a nice crafter r2 droid called Sprocket. AlsoI did forget jewelry settings I had better add those as well

forgive me if I'm being ignorant, because I haven't had a factory for awhile and they might have changed it, but doesn't each crate take up 5 inventory slots, not just 1?

Factory Crates only take 1 slot now. Crates created before the patch still take 5.

oh..then by all means go for it. I thought you were selling it. I was going to say..that's going to cost some K.

Ghartan, What type of animal is fluffy? I have a Bantha named Poodoo (in anticipation of player mounts). He may be able to help me in a scrape butI wouldnt call him a fighter, more like a grazer

I would go ahead and add a generic crafting tool, insured, just as a precaution. You can also use it to make fireworks to draw a crowd...

Now you've got me thinking about it!
