It can be to a certain extent. AS use plexite so I have found that it is normally more expensive than some of the others. I got lucky to find out 30k of it using galaxy wide search for only 5 cpu so I grabbed it. I would keep checking SWGCraft and the next time you see it spawn, if you have a lot remaining set one down on it and harvest some. Or you can ask around your fellow bloodfin tailors and see if any of them have any they might be willing to sell to you. Good Luck

Yes it is kinda rare as pointed out above AS use it too.

You might ask your guildmates to see if anyone has some that you can buy or that they'll give to you. Maybe they'll have a stack or two they consider to small for their use that they might make a deal with you on. ( I got mine from a guildy )

It doesn't help now but if you are a tailor and happen to spot plexite or green diamond spawning put a lot of harvesters down and mine 100K of it or so. That should last you a lifetime!

Well its rarity depends on your server. I happen to see it when I'm in no position to mine it (and that's often).

Plexite does tend to be rare as well as green diamond gem (another component in the noble's crest). If you're a harvester, I'd recommend keeping an eye out on SWGCraft.com for any spawns on your server and then putting down a harvestor if you find some. A little should go a long way. I never made all that many noble's crests myself. In the meantime, try asking other tailors if they might be willing to sell you some of both the plexite and green diamond (if you don't already have some).

I was thinking about buying all the ressources but i will save money with the harvestor option.

I'd been looking on Chimaera for quite sometime for Plexite and was lucky to come across 48k on a vendor.
It took some searching but was worth it, still, it's not something i'll probably make a lot of and I imagine i'll still have the plexite by the time they decide to end SWG

You can say that again! I'm still using Plexite and Green Diamond that I mined over a year ago.
