Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Last night, (4/11), I spent a couple of hours crafting, and then, some more this morning. When I stopped to check my inventory, this morning, in preparation to put the items on the vendor, I discovered that all of the color choices I had made, with one exception, had been ignored, and the colors of the items were the default ones.

I happen to currently be working on a collection of screenshots to ID the different pallets available, so I can easily tell you which schematics I used.

Bandoleer: Ammo Bandoleer, Mercenary Bandoleer, Multipocket Bandoleer, Rank Sash, Shoulder Strap, and Two Strap Bandoleer.

Belts: Black Leather Belt, Bristle Hide Belt, Cartridge Belt, Decorated Belt, Dignified Belt, Fancy Belt, Grenadier's Belt, Leather Belt, Multipocket Belt, Simplified Belt, Small Pocket Belt, Strap Belt, Suit Belt, Two Pocket Belt, Utility Belt, Widebuckle Belt, and Workman’s Belt

Bodysuits: Fighter Flightsuit, Heavy Flightsuit, Infiltration Suit, Reinforced Jumpsuit, Revealing Fleshwrap, Tactical Skinsuit, Trader’s Flightsuit, and Transport Flightsuit

Bracelets: Bangles, Golden Bracelet, Golden Symbol, Metal Band, and Metal Bracelet

Cloak: Cloak

The only item, out of all of the previous listed that kept the color choice I made was the Revealing Fleshwrap.

I Know this wasn't a problem on Saturday (4/10), because I crafted a Fighter Flightsuit then, and there was no problem with the color.

Gah I had that happen back in beta. I'll check it out. It seems to all work ok on TC at this point.

EDIT: I made some clothes on live - 2 bodysuits and a cloak. I'll see what color they are tomorrow. I also made something tonight on TC, although I think TC is an entirely different animal, and if this were a problem on TC it would have happened weeks ago, not today.

I just made a bunch of clothes yesterday, I'll go check them to see if they colored properly tonight or tomorrow (whenever I get a chance to play next). I put the color in the name, so it won't be hard to tell .

I just checked the stuff I made on live last night, this morning after server reset, and it all appears to have retained its color properly. Please let me know if you experience this bug again.

The bug is still going strong. I have noticed that if I alt-tab out while in the color screen, when I return, any color selections I have made will have defaulted, even before I do the final processing. But even if I re-set the color at this time, it still produces the item with the default coloraton. I have had 2 items successfully keep their coloration, but they are the exception.I am still at a loss as to why this is happening.

I found that if I was crafting, and was at the color selection screen, if you alt or alt tab out then it resets to a default color. I solved the prob by just not closing the crafting window in any way while selecting colors.

Ah, so it's an alt-tab issue. Ok, I'm on it. I'll data gather, and report it, blah blah. In the meantime... don't alt tab out while crafting!! You have been warned!

in my experience - it has always happened that if you hit alt to temporarily close the color selection window it will go back to the default colors.

Actually, it's not just this screen. It's any screen. It's not just alt, either. It's any time you move another screen to the foreground, as well.

Example: I'm making some custom clothes, and the guy asks for a specific name. When I get to the color customization I pick my black colors (lol) and try my hardest to remember the name but just can't. My crafting screen is partially covering my chat tab, so I click the chat tab to bring it to the foreground. I get the name (Jedi master, if I remember correctly lol), then go back to the customization screen and everything has reset to default (including the name I had started to write).

Another example: I'm placing an item up for sale. I start to write the description, then realize I have it saved in wordpad and alt-tab out. I get the saved text, go back to the game, and the description I started to write is gone (I think the price as well).

Yet another example: I'm writing an email and have to alt-tab for whatever reason. All fields in the email blank out.

If it's not changing the item's color after the fact (i.e. after you have it in your inventory), I don't see the problem. I thought the alt thing always defaulted the crafting window.

I had a problem tonight where I made a decorated belt, yellow. I tried it on and everything was just dandy. I dropped it to display with the rest of the items I had made and the belt turned white... I think I left it there... I'll check it again in the morning.

Decorated belts always look white in low detail mode (when dropped in a house). If you examine it, it should look normal.
