Thread: For Tailors only Tour of Shops

This idea came to me the other night,,and I thought I would post it for you all to comment.

I thought perhaps it would be not only be fun but also educational for us to join together and sponsor a Tailor open house some weekend,,sort of like a Tour of Homes,,

Each weekend or some other time selected,,,,the tailors on one specific serverwho wanted to participate would all log on at a given time and then other tailors from other servers would make characters to visit the "open" shops to get tips on tailor issues,,to compare pricing ,,to get deco ideas,,etc,,

Each tailor on the server that is "open" would provide traveling credits so new characters wouldnt be bothered with having to make credits,,and each tailor would need to be available to provide waypoints to their shop and to make sure that the new characters can visit the shop safely.

I think this idea could be lots of fun and I know I would likely get some neat ideas that I could use in my shop, Its just not feasible to even find all the tailor shops on each server all by yourself,,but if it was organized by server with some traveling credits ,,we might have some fun doing this,,your comments please

PS Just as an example, I was on scylla and saw a myoflex tissue labeled ,,Tattooine Spring water filtering device, as a deco piece,,needless to say,,my be has an order so I can have one too,

Jeela I like this idea. People are doing great things with tailor - I regard our profession as one of if not the more creative ones. I have just for instance made a sixteen lot tailoring center and would love to share it with other tailors from other servers.

Ok...you are now tasked with setting this up!

Hehe, ahh! Had to suggest it right when I'm in the middle of moving my shop from a small house to a large house, didn't you? (Need…more…floor samples!) Sounds like a wonderful idea—just give me some time to finish moving first.

I was thinking we might choose a specific day / time span,,and try to go to a different server every week,,

I think it would be fun to meet the other tailors in game as well as get some new ideas,,

Main showroom all set up apart fom a bit of furniture, color showroom all done with a new layout (thanks to Marinha), factories almost emptied, but the two smaller houses still just full of junk. I have houses 5 and 6 temporarily spare that I will use for storage so I can get the outfit/costume showroom and my house set up, hopefully tonight. (Who the hell has 20 lots just for a tailoring operation, with no harvesters!)

Thanks for all the help yesterday

I am glad figured out what I meant because I typed it completely wrong (lack of sleep I think). I meant, sorry I could not stay until the very end. Now I have two more houses of my own to finish decorating!

Hmm how about I nominate my tailoring estate as the first location for such an event. I have still yet to set up one of my showrooms after the move last weekend but I have been thinking about hosting such an event since you mentioned it and I will certainly be set up in time.

Maybe Saturday the 21st for people to come to my place on Lowca for a tailor party?

Tailors being the most fashion conscious of people, never appearing anywhere in starting clothing, I am sure the Lowca tailors would be happy to prepare outfits for the event for visitors from other galaxies to don for the event.

I don't think it's so much lack of interest as lack of willingness to plan something! I know I'm interested but kind of have my plate full so I'd rather stick to just showing up somewhere than trying to be the planner for my server (at least for now).
