Thread: having problems with tailors
Tailor's can't choose how many sockets.
Try offering to pay not only for the 4 socketed clothes, but also the clothes the tailor ends up crafting trying to get a 4 socket piece to come out. Then just dump the extra clothes on the bazaar to recoup your cash.
Tailor's have been asking for this issue to be fixed since the game came out. Master Tailor currently has about a 10-20 percent chance of getting 4 sockets, with no proven way to increase that chance through tailor skill modifications.
And unfortunatly every tailor get's asked to provide a set of 4 socket clothes. It's a bit frustrating because we *want* to be able to guarantee sockets, but we simply cannot ![]()
It would be much easier for you to get your 4-socketed-clothing order done if you kindly told your tailor you understood her socket pain and would gladly pay her for all the un-4socketed tries ![]()
When people ask me for the kind of order you ask, I tell them they have to pay me for all the failed tries at the four sockets. Good luck!
I did a 4 socket 5 piece of clothing order for a guildmate(hat, bando, gloves, belt, shirt, pants) and I ended up making about 30 items before I got all of them 4 socketed. At least it was for a guild jedi crafting outfit, so I get the benefits too....
And of course, the first pair of hawtpants I made had 4 sockets. YAY HAWTPANTS!!! (Wussy guildmates didn't want to 'craft lightsabers in their undies'
)
this offends me... jk

I had a guy the other day that wanted me to make him 2 pieces of clothing with 4 sockets. I told him that it was a random thing and if he made it worth my while that I would make him what he wanted. So after about 20 minutes of trying to get the articles of clothing he wanted with 4 sockets, he says that he is tired of me wasting his time and to forget the order! I just blew alot of resources and time there! People do not understand how hard it is to ge 4 sockets for anything and if a tailor finally does get a 4 socket and makes a schematic of certain colors, SOE cant even fix the bug to stop from getting something else than what you assigned. I love being a tailor but man is it frustrating sometimes!
If someone did that to me.. I would silently pass their names on to my guild crafters and all of my fellow crafters and let them know...They would deffinately be sorry for crossing me like that =( because I know a lot of people.
Same here! I dislike that kind of customers.
