Thread: Last night was a fun night! My first Customer.
Well last night earlier in the evening I went around AH as a tailor on the clock! I walked around and advertised that i was selling Custom fit outfits.
My first customer was a guy who wanted a new outfit and wanted it to be blue. I made him those pants that look like horsback ridding pants. Maybe Re-enforced pants or something. Well you all know they take color oddly. So I made them black and blue and the black truley didn't look black. So I then made a short to match and i was stumped on the color. So I opened up the pants and picked a gray that seemed to match. Low and behold when he put them on it matched perfect!! I was so impressed with myself! LOL!! He liked it and went on his way.
Next I master Armor Smith wantes some "dressy" clothing. Now that I look back on it I should have made a scout jacket for him in black & white. So anways he wanted to be all black. So i did the thin stripped black pants, all black, and that jacket with the buckles on the front that is closed. Then I did some plain black shoes which are the newby shoes you can make before tailor and ya know those things look pretty snappy with clothing they look more like a dress shoe. He likes that idea. The boots I can make almost dress things down.
So that was so much fun. I also get a kick out of the amazing amount of things I can sell on the bazzar. Last night I accidently made some VERY ughly green boots the ones with the color tips, i firegured ah heck ill try to sell them on the bazzar. It sold in 30 mins!
I am having so much girly fun it's not even funny! I like to be likea fasion cunsoltant and they tell me the "look" they want and I create the outfit!
I'm amazed at what I can sell on the Bazaar too. Frankly it's quite bizare what will sell on the Bazaar.

hehehe! Yeah it's to much fun! I sell Black boots & White boots all the time, oh yeah and fishing poles for some reason sell well. (I am on tatooine lol)
Just a bit of trivia, but fishing on Tattoine is actually some of the best fishing out there. The fishing holes that I have run across have been really shallow, allowing me to run out when I catch a fish so I don't have to fight it to reel it in. And, fish sells really well to those BE's. I've got a guy on Intrepid who will pay 75-100cr per unit of fish. So, now that I made Master and don't have anything to do all night, I just go and fish.
Yeah, I spent an hour with a customer last night trying to get his new outfit right. It's always fun making someone look good but an hour is just too much of my gameplay time. I have to turn off the title every now and again just so I can go check my harvestors lol 
Good times though.
yeah last night this dude wanted a jacket to match his pants. He asked me if I cold make a spec ops duster or a re-enforced jacket. I said I could make both. He said to make the duster. Well HE MENT to ejacket lol. So then i make the jacket second go, and i got the color to match up perfect!~ And he says "well not to be picky, but can it be darker?" I was like, A"RGH!" but not really i was cool with it The slightly 1 freakin shade darker one did look just as nice if not nicer!
I have fieldware 4 and then pretty much nothing else but colors and I leave my novice tailor title on cause i dont think people know what that Uniform speclist (or something like that) title is!! lol

Congrats on your first custom sales. Even the difficult customers can be fun. I do what my Grandma always said to do to rude or ignorant people. "Kill them with kindness." Hey, it works. And if they are nice, polite AND fashion savvy customers... well... it's a joy and a pleasure.

Once did a factory run of 50 gunman's dusters (in black). Sold 30 of them in my store at my usual price of 2750 credits, and 20 on the 'zar for 3k. I sold out of the 'zar ones in about 2 hours, and the store sold out in about 4 or 5 days
Sure it gets annoying when everyone and their uncle asks for a black outfit, but it pays the bills when it's time to play 'Hungry Hungry Harvesters(tm)'
To me the true horror is, "U tailor. I need cloths. U make gun jackt for 1000?" I just got that one the other day and my heart sank.

Heh. On Kettemoor, at least on Naboo and Rori, my evil scheme has finally succeeded.
I sell Gunman's Dusters for 1200. I also sell them by the factory crate for 720 each to retailers. (That's still more than 100% markup, it's not like I'm losing money.) I also went to a lot of trouble to keep the bazaar in Restuss stocked with them, and with black Plain Shirts, and black Pocketed Work Pants.
And the result has been just exactly what I was hoping it would be. I don't remember the last time I saw someone wearing all black. I still keep 'em on the bazaar. Sales of those three items are down probably 90% in the last week. Why? Because that's what noobies wear.
So the uber-elite characters are running around in brightly colored outfits that include a fair amount of casual wear and formal wear, much of which they're buying from lower-level tailors. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha.
(Somehow I don't expect anybody to thank me for this.)
yeah its not that i dont like doing black sets
it's just that after 1billion requests i like to have a challenge now and again
however the people i run into on eclipse are getting more and more demanding and imaginative which is great

my title is currently propagandist (most players dont know what it means so they ignore it) but I still can't hide...when i've logged in i have like 5 tells of "hey...hi have you got a new look for me etc" if i dont reply in 5 seconds i get
"?"
"!"
"?"
etc...lol sometimes my char feels like a whole other job in itself
