Then do both, one with the texture, and one with the textureless minus the fleshtones. If it's technically feasible then I don't see how it couldn't please everybody.

I have to agree. I had pure white infiltrator leggings, they looked great on my dark blue Twi'lek. Now with the snakeskin pattern, I really don't have anything to wear with them, and I'm not going to change colors, since white looks so good.

I suggest making the infiltrator leggings and bodysuit metallic/shiny. This will allow for the solid color (plus the shading for depth) while making it obvious that the suit is not a natural skin color.

I actually really like the new pattern/texture - but then, the ones I have for myself are in dark colours mainly, and the pattern is a good enhancement to them.

I'd like to have it stay, but also have other styles/looks ... eg shiny, lace, leather, and maybe a colour-limited palette for the absolutely plain, if they're so worried about the nudity issue.

(and why? It's not as if they, uh, showed anything. Just left a bunch of desexed eunuchs running about .....)

It's the "minus the fleshtones" part that would be technically non-trivial. Because there are so many different potential fleshtones, of course.

As someone noted, the current fix doesn't require coding changes at all - it's just a change to the art. Any sort of "textureless leggings minus fleshtones" fix would be more complicated. You'd have to code something like

If leggings.color near(skin.color) then
CantWear
else
CanWear

And defining colors might be trickier than you'd think, and not something they currently do in the program, and might cause unforeseen bugs elsewhere, etc. etc.

I still think it's pretty silly, but I can see the logic behind it.

I have a lot of ticked off people trying to replace their leggings, and they aren't happy with any of the alternatives. Dress slacks too bulky, comfortable has the belt, and casual has the side trim. The thing is, how many people were actually using the leggings for a nude look? I've had dozens of request for skin matched full suits, but I know I never once had to color match a pair of the leggings to anyone's skin.

We need some kind of alternative, and ideally I'd like to see it as actual tights that can be stacked under shorts or skirts, though I don't know how much work would go into adding an additional layer to equipment.

I'd also like to see actual tights - that cover the foot as well as the leg. For example, the leggings don't work well with a seemingly natural complement like Dress Slippers.

I really do love the new textures, and I've had a few folks asking for them specifically. My one gripe is that there's not a top that has a texture to match... I'd love to see the option to add that texture on the low-cut top and sports wrap, which are the two items my customers love teaming the leggings with.

I logged in with my character that wears infiltration leggings tonight, and I find that her nice, smooth, black leggings are now green, scaly, and ugly. Please, please, please, devs, find a better solution to fixing the nakedness problem besides ruining the only unpatterned pants in the game. I know this was an easy fix, but it's not worth it to ruin the item altogether just so a few people can't act like perverts.

I love the new texture. I may wear the things more now.

Some people may like them, but now there's no option for someone who doesn't want a texture, just leggings. The new texture doesn't match what I had it with, and I don't think there's anything else that could come even close. I don't want naked PCs running around, but there still needs to be an option for someone that doesn't want textures (the whole reason I bought the infiltration leggings).

it'd be kinda difficult to put back the smooth texture and not allow for the nude appearance unless they screwed up the colors once again....

i'd much rather have the texture there and all my colors available for it than have it completely smooth, but all the colors that are skin (or close to skin) colors removed.

If they're going to put textures on them, they should give us some variations on the textures. The current texture isn't bad, for some uses, but doesn't work accross the board.

The form-fitting undershirt! That's the one you mean, I'm sure of it. What a brilliant idea -- I'm already kicking myself for not thinking of it.. *grins* Thanks!
