I use the suit shirt and cold weather jacket for formal occasions on males btw.
That's what i wear all the time. Teero can be found running all over Lok, and the rest of the Galaxy in a Tuxedo.
Suit Shirt - White Body, Red Trim
Cold Weather Jacket - All Black
Comfortable Slacks - All Black
Casual Shoes - All Black
Leather Gloves - All Black
Necklace (i forget which one, but it's the metal one that just goes around the neck, with no jewels) - Red to match the Suit shirt
I've gotten many compliments on this from poeple. i even made a friend a nice all white version of this same outfit for his in-game wedding. Also had someone buy a Burgandy tux, and he looked like a total pimp with it on.
Well... Personally, I can only have a few items on display (darn item limits) but I like stepping into a shop that feels like a real showroom. Apart from seeing another player or an NPC, it's really one of the few ways it's possible to see how a piece of clothing looks, properly, before buying it.
I say go for it!
good luck!
Sounds like a good idea.
The vendor thing sounds cool also, just would be annoying each time the auctions expired for the catalog lol.
I have everything on display in my shop, minus belts, bandoliers, gloves, jewelry and ithorian wear.
I love it myself, and my customers do too.. when they notice it. I use a PA as my shop, and have dresses and bodysuits along the walls in the main room..the rest are neatly crammed into the back room behind that. Just rarely anyone goes back there, but when I ask people to come back there they are like "wow"!
It does make for a very limited storage limit, but it's really worth it if you want to take the time to do it. I'm debating on moving into the bunker house.. hoping if I do so I'll be able to spread my displays out better and not have them all crammed in one area.
I used to go with displays of as many items as possible. But as time went on and customers got to know what styles did look like, I changed over to displaying just a few outfits at a time and rotating them frequently. Sort of a Fashion of the Week thing. A collection of outfits with either a style or color scheme. Like Red and White fashions or Various Camos and Cloaks color combos. Regular customers get to see a new display every visit. You can also easily feature clothing or color combosthat are not the FOTMor for seasonal/holiday fashions.
