Thread: Are Heavy Duty Leathers Without Serial Numbers Identical?
Hmmm I don't know. I haven't really been following the Krayt-tissue-exploit dealie, but apparently if you use an unserialed tissue in a schematic, that's an exploit, bleh. I could ask CSRDavidF and he'll probably tell me "Hey, doofy, look in the knowledge base" - which I honestly find incomprehenisble.
So the short answer is - don't use them yet. I'll poke around the KB and see what I can find out about how to deal with those, or irritate CSRs in the corre forum if that fails. With all the "exploit" hypersensitivity lately, you don't want to run afoul of the law.
- This means you can use them in an item that requires one component.
- You may not use them in an item that requires 2 identical components.
- You may not use them to make a manufacturing schematic.
- If the game allows you to use them as if they were identical serialed, then it's an exploit.
So from what I hear it's okay to use them in "singles" but to use them as "multiples" is exploitative. I'm asking for clarification right now (you know "dev talk"), but it seems to make sense that simply using them as singles would not be exploitative in any way.
I have those clasps with no serial numbers. Unfortunately the ones with serial numbers dont seem to be dropping anymore. This will make it impossible to make the schematics. The items dont even show up as options in the schematics. Does this mean that it is useless to get these drops any more and the schematics are obsolete?
