Thread: new to tailor, need advice......
Prices vary from server to server.
Black white and red are the most popular colours mainly black.

BE pricing - This is totally based on your cost for tissues. if you don't make your own tissues, you'll need to take into account the cost of the tissues used in the item. and costs like this vary GREATLY from one server to another. Like for me, on Lowca, +16 Melee/Ranged Defense tissues cost me 12k per tissue, so if i am making a Formfitting Undershirt (which i charge 4k for without BE mods) than if i charged 16k for it, i would recover my cost of tissue, as well as my normal charge for the shirt, but since these are a much more in-demand item, i add more ot the cost of the item, and increase profits, so i generally charge anywhere from 25k-30k for a +16 Melee/Ranged Defense Formfitting undershirt.
Socket Pricing - This is completely up to you. you may have a set price you would normally charge for a Warm Hat. so to make a socketed one, it would just require more time on your part, so it's basically what you feel your time is worth. (that's my opinion, since any failed 4-socket items just go on my vendor, so it's not wasted items)
Popular Colors - Black is always the hottest seller. Black/Red and Black/White combinations also seem to sell well. recently i've been selling a few Grey/Blue combinations though, so maybe some poeple are starting to get away from that all-black look. (a Rodian can hope, can't he?)

thank you oreet, this does help me alot, i really do appreciate your time answer my questions not to mention giving an example of how you kinda do the math, i realize that the server to server is very different as they all have separte markets.
oreet its people like you that make the more friendly, and for you to help fellow players you are very valuable to the game
unlike people that say read the stickies, read the stickies...... i bet if these types of people need our help in an area that we knew they wouldnt like the feeling of the door closing on their face

i did take a look at all the essential stickies, if i missed something ok, i can understand that but i did open all the links went thru looking for the specific info that i wanted. was tryin to find the BE info for a general idea on prices from a BE couldnt find it alot of it talked about the assembling of the BE clothing but not about the prices for the BE tissues
but still instead of just sayin read the stickies you couldve given your personal imput on your experience as every tailors experience varies from server to server, maybe you have a better way to do things for tailor, maybe some general idea on how you got started, things like that, Oreet gave his experience and thats what i appreciate, his general experience and his time to answer my questions (plus the stickies wont give you the personal experince that is gained from do, i guess more along the lines of not goin in blind)
but its not to say tha ti will not further read the stickies as i have put a few of them into my favorites in my internet exploxer. i like the (http://tkfashion.swgentertainer.com/) site very nice, interesting

go to the second page of this board, and you will find a discussion about be prices, think it even has BE prices in title
ok you kno what .... then i might of miss it somewhere but i went back over the stickies and im not seein it, maybe im just blind but i am not seein the info that i need Oreet atleast gave me a general idea but asfar as seeing what you are sayin im not finding so.......... im not gonna be rude, nor impatientbut i am not finding finding what i need to kno about the pricing of BE tissues, (more along the lines of the price for buyin it from a BE, like a ballpark figure)
plz , show me either PM me or if you would like the satisfactory of proving me wrong on this forum plz go right ahead and show me but i am tellin you the truth that i am not finding what it is or even close to the info that i would like to see
so if i do sound rude in this, realize this..... if you heard the tone in my voice you would understand and im not upset or mad but a lil confuse on the info that i am tryin to pinpoint down
