Thread: Tailoring Top 5 (12/20)
1. TEF trading bug
We understand that it is a big pain in the arse getting kicked out of your house, but the other things we tried were still being exploited. We encourage you to work as a community and brainstorm for new ideas.
2. In the inability to see Necklaces when crafting and within inventory window.
We hate that bug. We hates it alot. We are working hard to make it die.
3. Decay.
We are currently discussing other ways to deal with clothing decay. It is a touchy issue though. We hear the tailors, and even though it's a minor sting, players donotlike it.
We are aware that items that have reached 0/0 condition are still equippable, it is not suppose to work this way. We consider this issue a priority for your profession and we are working to resolve it.
4. Expanded colors for Wookiees and Boots/Shoes.
We have a big suprise for you soon.
5. Items need to fit right.
The following items have been sent to QA
- Immense Gemstone Necklace + Exotic Leotard / Flesh Wrap = Missing Chest area.
- Low Cut Top has dent in left side of exposed torso area.
- Lekku Ys'rak and Twi'lek Noble's Crest display a white scalp patch on Males.
- The derriere shows through when wearing pullovers and very apparent and embarrassing when bending over in the grand healer's robe.
- Back of Decorative Dress shows legs when running around.
- Legs poke through the Two-Tone Formal Skirt, both when running and when sitting (with legs crossed).
- Silver pendant does not layer correctly with luxurious gown, neck scarf hides it.
- Back packs do not layer correctly with cloaks, causing clipping to occur.
- Bikini leggings worn by men let the skin appear on the thigh and legs when they move.
- Rebel Marine Backpack does not show up when wearing with Gunman's Duster.
- Necklaces for the most part do not fit well around the neck and often float.
- Jackets on Females do not seem to scale properly, making waist line unnaturally small, shoulders over-padded.
- Luxurious Dress and Decorative Belt do not dispaly colors correctly from a distance where the quality shifts to low-grade mode. Turning the item either white or color 1 when worn.
- Belts and bandoliers in general do not fit correctly around the waist, usually looking very bulky or floating inches away from the waist. They also expand to wear over the jacket where they should wear under the jacket or robe or fit snug instead of bulky.
- Metal Color Bleed on Councilman's Robe: seems that the underside of the belt of this robe bleeds out onto the gown itself. Also bleeds around the cuffs.
- Short Robe reveals naughty bits when seated.
but I like naughty bits
Funny someone else told me the exact same thing.
so basically nothing any different than the last 3 months...
more non-answers.....
Please add to this:
- modest skirt shifts to "trim" color from a distance
- belt color (metallic) on thin pleated skirt alsoshifts at a distance (to color of non-pleated area of skirt (??)- I need to do more testing on this one to determine whether the belt shifts to a color already in the skirt, or just black.)
Ya know its funny about that decay thing. We told em, time and time again, that usage decay was the only way it would make sense. But nooooo... They wouldn't listen. A good deal of the people who don't want the clone decay don't have a problem with usage decay and wonder why in hell the devsdidn't do that in the first place.
Arrg TEF trading bug.. ideas ideas... hmm...
Maybe have special rules for TEF trading only inside registered merchant structures. This would involve adding an option to the structure menu to declare your stucture a place commercial business. Regular TEF rules apply for everything except trading in such a structure.
Or just get rid of TEF penatlies for trading altogether.
Or make TEF a little smarter and only apply when the trade takes place while the trader/tradee and teamates are in combat.
I'd also like to see the TEF system tweaked for neutral merchants. Not being able to trade with any overt is really annoying. Being neutral I should be able to trade freely with both sides- it's why I'm neutral in the first place, because I want more trade opportunities.
Or make TEF a little smarter and only apply when the trade takes place while the trader/tradee and teamates are in combat.
This is the idea that several of the other correspondents are pushing for. It's the one I like the best. The system already tracks whether overts are in combat to determine if they can enter buildings (or so I'm told.. I don't do much PvP), so if an overt can enter the shop to begin with... then the covert shouldn't get kicked out for trading with them.

Nevermind overt, I can't even trade with coverts sometimes. I have 200+ Rebel faction, but I'm not *in* the Rebellion.
Also, the crystal pendant (i think) doesn't layer correctly with the decorative vest. You see the stone as if it's part of the vest, no chain. Granted, it looks cool, but it's a bug.
