Is there more than 1 type of melee weapon powerup? In the Artisan tree I only see the 1 and its possible combinations are not all the great.

I read in this forum about someone using "chips". What are these and are they like the 8 different ranged power up?

Thank you for the help

Yes there are melee powerups I have a master artisan as well as my swordsman and don't go anywhere without them. Unfortunately the range of powerup combinations are not as good for melee as they are with ranged weapons.

The best ones that my char makes (99% efficiency) are based on ham reduction and stat reduction and I make 2 different types based on the weapon im using i.e.:

I heard weapon powerups speed up the weapon's decay rate (lowers condition fast). Is that true?

bah posting got messed up powerups are ...

2h Curved Sword : 33% action ham reduce(specials) + 16% max dmg

Powerhammer : 33% health ham reduce(specials) + 16% max dmg

Reducing stats on weapons is a myth for powerups they only do that if you use speed powerups as you're swinging faster =P

Finding an artisan making these can be a pain.

Thank you for the information. I have a master artisan I can get to make me some of the action/max dmg ones in crates.

I should make Novice Swordman tonight and have 300k combat exp saved up from the master pistoleer I droped. So I guess that makes me a convert lol. The fact is I hate following the crowd and I got tired of every person I saw weilding pistols =/. So far I like the face to face combat of the swordman. I had the pleasure of using my first spin move last night hitting 3 targets at once for pretty good dmg. Granted, there is a lot more risk to the swordman than the pistoleer but it great fun.

Thanks again for the help.

ps. Yes it was hard to drop master pistoleer but the game is more challenging as a swordman and imo more fun that way.
