I've been fighting the same mobs for about an hour after getting Area Attack 3, and it seems to do the same amount if not a little less damage then Area Attack 2. Are any other swordsman seeing a difference? One thing I am sure is that it's not doing more damage than AA2. The Dizzy effect is also not that good. I have yet to see one creature fall down from the dizzy effect even when it tries to get up from my posture change effect.

it looks great

seems dizzy has only effect on humanoids. twohandArea3 is my best style, i do frequently hits of over 4k to stormtrooper with my powerhammer. And its much faster then twohandHit3, way way faster.

i like it.

Not sure what your weap stats are and circumstances you tried this on or your expectations. However, this is the best attack so far for us imho. I consistantly pound mobs with it. Tusken captains drop like flies. It virtually keeps almost all the specials the tuskens have off me.

Do you have Battlemaster? I went the speed route first and this attack is fast and very powerful for me..

I agree, area attack 3 is our best special. There is nothing cooling then seeing multiple targets fall at once. Humanoids do get dizzy and fall down easier. I awlays hit area attack and intimidate until the tartget gets dizzy and intimidated, then i switch over to 2 hand hit 3 and bezerk.

Well when mobs get dizzy and "falldown" there is no animation - they just sit there stupidly for a bit. You can prove this to yourself. Get a carbine up to "full auto single" shoot an easy mob till it is dizzy. Then, use Area attack 1 for the posture down and it will just sit there for a good few seconds.

Morpheus - the posture change from the AA attacks also cause the mob to not be able to move for a few seconds. This has nothing to do with the dizzy effect.

My point wasn't the dizzy effect as much as that AA3 doesn't do more damage then AA2.

I'd rather have dizzy than more damage.
