Thread: Examining creature resists minimum scouting skills?

I plan on soon giving up all or most scout skills, since my end template is master doctor, master swordsman. If I kept scout, I would only be able to take one box.

So my question is, what level of hunting is required to be able to examine creature resists? I need to be able to see kinetic and blast resistance to make intelligent decisions about which weapon to use, and whether I should even engage the particular MOB in melee at all.

Can anyone who has only novice scout, or only hunting 1 tell me whether this is enough to examine resists?

I'm pretty sure it's Hunting 1 or 2.

I think it's a gradual thing. You can see some resisits at lower huntings, but some creatures don't show them until higher? I could be wrong about this though.

NO ... simply some creatures do not have any resist ...

....think about not giving up the tree which gives you higher running speed (think it's either hunting or exploration)...

I created my swordsman on Test Center the other day....and O M G...how was i able to ever play this game without that increase !?!?!

My usual "morning jogging" from Bestine to Anchorhead haschanged into "SWG: A snails Tale"...

my friend is a master swordsmen/Doctor and he has room for 2 skills on scout ( exploration2)..so u should be able to get hunting 2 which i think is enogh for the resists..but hell i say go explore...And just sacrafice a bit of doctor ( Since your a combat proffession i doubt you;ll be sitting in the med center much....Sacraficing some wound treatment speed might be a good idea)

Sacrificing master doctor means lower buffs. I want to be able to contribute the best buffs to myself and my group.

So far, there doesn't seem to be a definite answer. Is there anyone with novice scout but no hunting? I guess I could just give up my hunting skills, try it, and re-train (since I'm maxed on scout xp).

Part of this game is one person can't do it all. You can be a jack of all trades, but not a master of all trades. I highly would recommend going Explore all the way and forgetting about hunting. At worst you can figure out a mob is resisting when attacking it (watch the damage spam).
