Thread: How do you have your stats set?
This seems like the single most vital aspect of combat life, but one I see talked about the least: How do you have your stat points set?
I've heard that its wise to have all three HAM bars roughly equal since creatureswill attack them equally. But how do you have the drain (strength, quickness, focus) and the regenerate (constitution, stamina, willpower) attributes set?
I was thinking that since most regeneration takes place after the battle, it doesn't much matter how fast you do it. That would allow you to shift more points toward the drain bars, thus increasing your combat ability since you'd lose HAM points slower.
What's your setup? Thoughts on the matter?
And as an aside, does anyone know what the stat limitations are for Trandoshan characters? I received a system message upon startup the other day, saying something about my stats not being consistent with my race and automatically adjusting them to be so. Anyone esle experienced this?
The stat migration message you got is related to a bug i think...
...think i have read something about it a couple of days ago.
You might want to check posts on DevTracker from the last couple of days or use the search function

Personally I went for even on the showing hams. Minimum on the health and action regen. Max on the mind regen. And a lil above minimum on the cost per action for all 3.
So as a human have
900/440/400 red
900/440/400 green
900/420/600 blue
Thinking about lowering the 900's down a lil bit and raising the middle ones and seeing if that helps, but this works ok for me.
The limits are also messed up. Zabraks are stuck with 1000 health, when it should only be 800 minimum (window should be 500 and 1000-1300 is only 300). So, who knows if the other races are correct.
My experience is you get hit in health by far the most, followed by action and only rarely mind. At the same time, high reduction stats are important for when you do styles (including intimidate/warcry which use health), but IMO regens are not as important. So my stats are set to:
Health: 1200 (max)
Strength: 500 (max)
Constitution: 300 (min)
Action: 1000 (bugged, cannot set lower)
Quickness: 400 (max)
Stamina: 300 (min)
Mind: 700
Focus: 300 (min)
Willpower: 500 (min)
You can still migrate your stats now, but you must stay within the limits of your race.
Where are the race limits spelled out? In the online manual?
My stats looks like this though.
Health - 1000
Strenght - 400
Constitution - 400
Action - 1000
Quickness - 400
Stamina - 400
Mind - 700
Focus - 300
Willpower - 700
I'm a zabrak.
It's a known bug since they reversed the changes done to stats on Friday the 22nd. You can still migrate your stats now, but you must stay within the limits of your race. Even though the slider will let you move the stats lower or higher then your race minimum or maximum.
If you move a lider off the limit it'll reset all your selected migrations when you close the migrate window. It's thus possible to still migrate your stats but you must stay within the limits. I'd suggest you migrate only one or two stats at a time. Ie. open the migrate window and set one stat to what you want, click ok and the window closes. Now continue untill you're done.
personally i am trandoshan and went with the following
750/800/800
750/400/400
650/400/600
I am however a defense master... by this I mean every single ability i have goes twords defense the only things i mastered are brawler and (within the week) sword.
current melee def 86
current ranged def 64
with a set up like this i dont get hit as much and thus dont need the larger hp hams
It depends what weapon you are using. Since there really are only 2 valid ones for us right now, the 2h curved sword and power hammer, its pretty easy to set the two apart.
For PH, migrate to constitution and strength. For curved sword, to stamina and quickness.
I'ma human using a curved sword and I have the following:
900/400/500
900/500/500
900/400/400
I only use the sword because I am a SWORDSman, not a powerhammerman (even though my last name would have you believe otherwise) I wish to GOD I could put more into stamina, but that is my racial cap. So far i've found thatpoint spent on cost stats (str/qui/foc) are semi-wasted as the decrease in move costs is pathetically low per point. I dont think it even is a 1 ham cost reduction for 5 points spent in the stat...But since every bit helps... I just cant wait for the announced move cost decreases currently on test (are they even there? Haven't heard a thing about them)
Well I am a power-hammerman! And since the main stat that hits is the health bar, I have upped my strength just a little. However my stats are bit weird due to the needs and bonuses of doctor.
RED: 825/450/400

Human Swordsman/Doctor
825/450/400
825/400/400
1100/500/500
The big mind pool is more a protection factor than an actual need due to hits there or HAM use from hammer wielding. All my other stats I buff with doctor-enhancers prior to combat. Since I can heal the HA portion, I don't devote much to regen or pool stats.
