i was counting up the +% on speed that swordsman get when they hit master swordsman... its 75% (80% with master brawler)... and i did some math.

with the cap put at 1 speed the curved 2h sword can get (with a damage slice) about 320 speed and 1 delay... but the powerhammer can do 520 damage with 1.2 speed... now you tell me what has the better DPS.

and you might say that "hey keanti, what about the HAM cost of the hammer and the -40 to hit?!?!?"

well, evin at -50 you dont miss that much... i should know, i am also a pistoler, and while im running at long range... i still hit every time.

and with berzerk 2 you can still outdamage your whole group, or you can just do mind hit 3 and take down anything in like 4 swings. hell... with my 316 damge sword... i have done 5200 damage with 2h hit 2... dont ask me how.. but i did it, think of mind hit 3 with a 520 damage weapon... it just makes me cry.

so everone... go out and get a power hammer... they are good, you just gota know how to use it.

520 damage, 1.2 speed... just think about that!

Sounds nice but personally I would like to see a sword at that level. Considering the name of the profession is "Swordsman" this only seems right.

Keanti , How did you calculate that the hammer will be 1,2 spd then ? I am currently 0201 in swords , what would a 6,0 spd hammer be for me speedwise then ?

Yes, this has already been calculated out. But, congrats to you for figuring it out. The truth is the Power Hammer is by far our best weapon long before that due to its better HAM costs (low mind). It's also the most HAM efficient, even earlier on when it is not the best DPS.

The bottomline is DPS is only important if you just sit there doing standard attacks. As soon as you start styling HAM efficiency is more important.
