Hello, I'm a 4/1/4/2 Ranger and a 03/0/2 (Almost 0/4/0/3) Swordsman. I currently am using a Two handed curved sword which I got a 32% damage slice on and it does (326 damage and a 2.6 delay) I really do think it's a great sword. I also have 70% kinetic Ubese armor which I don't wear all that often, mainly because the HAM costs are so high while wearing it that It does as much good as no armor at all. I have had the armor sliced, and it was mostly for the HAM costs, which is good, but it still is a tad bit heavy. I am reading all these threads and hear about people soloing Krayts and Nightsisters, wheras I'm hard pressed to solo a single Tusken Raider.

I could use a few tips, mainly in howI should allocate my HAM and substats to make the Ubese more useful (Because I KNOW it is great armor), what I should look for in weapons, and if I should buy food/spice/get buffs and what types?

And if there are any combos I should use as I go through Swordsman, I'd greatly be in your guys' debt if you could inform me. I'm currently using something like: Mind Hit 1, Sweep, Head hit 3,Head hit 3, Head hit 3, Etc. Should I be using intimidate and warcry alot more often? I don't often use them unless I'm fighting a tough mob.

Thanks in advance.

Well you skills should be getting up there enough to swing a powerhammer with some sort of accuracy and speed now. See if you can find yourself a good speed sliced for now. Since the powerhammer has a high HAM cost for special moves, get something to boost your strength. Tatooine sunburn is a god-send in this case. It raises your str and stamina by like 1500 each. which means, you'll burn 0 health doing specials, and your action will still burn per normal, but will recover just as quickly. Also do you have at least novice medic? If you do go buy some stim-b's from a doctor or bazaar. Get em at least above 300+ for healing power. Also you may want something to boost the mind such as a drink called breath of heaven, or a food called fishak suprise, for focus to help you use less mind to heal. Theres also a spice called Muon gold that seriously adds to your mind pools. problem is it only lasts for 600 seconds, and then you crash. meaning whatever it gave you, it takes away for about 2 minutes. I.E. you have 400mind, you use the spice, you get a total of 900 mind pool. then after the spice leaves you go to -100, and get incapped. Personally I set a macro that tells me how long I have left so i'm not suprised by this. And it works for me. Alsowear your armor all the time in battle. You'll use the foods and spices to buff your stats so that the armor doesn't bother you.

If the new combat system on TC goes live, then HAM costs won't be such a burden anymore and will have no affect on our secondary stats, allowing us to wear armor more often.

I don't really know how armor will affect me yet because I won't have any until Saturday, when I get back home. Then I'll have a set of Advanced Ubese with 60% Kinetic resists waiting for me All of my secondary stats a pretty high anyways.

Make best friends with a doctor, or become one yourself. I am a Doctor/Swordsman and I love it. I have ALL my stat points in the three mind pools and I buff myself to an average of 2k on all 6 of my health and action stats. I can solo the tuskan fort easily, or take out rancors, just about anything. In a group, area attacks are king, but 1on1 you should use your mind bleed and then head hit. Sometimes I will mind bleed each target in a group and then go back and head hit in the same order... usually takes them all out with the first head hit because the bleed has had time to take them down low. Definitely use your armor, because when you are buffed it doesn't matter much at all. You will be absorb way more damage than the enumberance will bother you for.
