Thread: So do we Sweep, Spin, or Punt?
I just made Master Swordsman...and I'm sword for life! I have tried many other professions, but always came back to this one for pure enjoyment. I am very confused on several of our specials though, despite reading any and all descriptions found anywhere (including in-game or the "state of the profession"). I also talked with many in-game swordsmen, and they say they don't use these specials for the same confusing reason.
What is the REAL difference between a SPIN, SWEEP and AREA special? The "lowers the posture of multiple targets" definition leads me to believe that one of these must be different than the other either by speed, range or time. Or did the devs just run out of ideas and decide to give us the same effect in seven different skill blocks?
Also, what is the point of lowering the posture of the enemy if they are down for 2 seconds when that is typically the timer of the best sword for the next attack anyway? I have NEVER once lowered the posture of any enemy (NPC or PC) and then been able to hit them before they were back to original posture again. My typical attack is to KD them (master brawler), WarCry2, then pound them until they die (rarely do they get up before death with the 20 sec warcry2). This is very effective, but it would be nice to do something else from our skill tree once in a while for a change in tactic and visual experience.
our master attack, 2 hand hit 3 dizzy's alot for me...I rarely use a special for their status effects because they are not dependable to stick.
